Well, when I saw this in your thread "Let's have a FUN - CLEAN and uplifting QUIZ" I thought you might be giving a clue. So, I went with CLEANED AU Details…. haha.
Looking closely at this coin, I wonder how the "I" was worn off in "AMERICA". I suppose having letters worn off like that really lessens the grade. I like to think it's an AU because there are some nice details in the feathers, but the letters worry me. Look closely at the "U" in UNITED. I've never graded a coin, but think it's slipping into an XF grade...just thinking out loud.

This is a generous giveaway partially why I was reluctant to join in, plus I know very little about this series or gold in general and didn’t want to insult you, but I want to play, so been leaning circulated from the start hoping I wasn’t ridiculously off. Been talking myself all over the spectrum; guess that’s the fun of it. 1862 XF40. Thanks for the chance.
My giveaways are not intended for anything other than sharing some JOY .... of my little wealth and a lot of health; so give me your best shot

That's a striking issue, not worn. Very normal on gold dollars...
Here's a shot I took from Hawaii a few years ago...this beach is near a surf training beach where the waves roll in like clockwork all the same size, unlike the giant waves at Big Beach!
Great 'left' at the Little beach if you bodysurf .... clothing is optional.
I have heard of Makena beach. I think you are right about optional clothing... There is one young lady around these parts that is named after that beach... for a very specific reason

Weak strike, not wear. Very common on these.
Hmm...NGC, huh? I'll go with 1877 and AU58.
Thanks, PF!
Lance.

@lkeigwin
Yes ....... it's an NGC
The darn ledger disappeared again!!!????
Is it because I tried to update too quickly between the sequences?
When the slab is posted ..... then you'll know whether you are within the winner circle for the drawing
A consolation prize will be drawn for the majority ..... IT IS a very SPECIAL piece of SILVER indeed
PS: No more ledger because it turned out to be too much work for this Wahine who rather go to you know where

My YouTube Channel
Your Hawaiian is showing.
I had to look up "Wahine":
1) a Polynesian woman or wife, especially in Hawaii or New Zealand.
2). a young woman surfer.
So I had guessed correctly that the place you'd rather go was the beach.
Makena's famous Big & Little beach
Great 'left' at the Little beach if you bodysurf .... clothing is optional.
For you, maybe, but I think for me most people would insist that it is mandatory.

I always wonder - how do you get to such a place? I don't see any roads or parking lots. I guess you hike in or take a boat.
..... and you HIKE to the Little beach
....... here is the Big beach view from the top of the hill.
As always, a very generous and kind gesture from Paradise.....
My guess is - 1856 AU53
