Gold graders, I'd like a little help grading this $10 Indian.

I bought this coin raw in a Meghrig plastic holder. It looks like it was in there for a while. It looks to be mint state, but with a muted luster. Do you think that this coin has been messed with? Otherwise, the coin doesn't have many dings. Thanks.

I'd have to guess au 55 !!!
Looks like it has some issues, ie cleaning or is not original.
Looks like some there are some rim nicks that may limit the grade to AU55.

AU-55. This type comes softly struck on the Indian’s hair and the eagle’s which has caused a lot of inconsistency in the grading of this type. I see a fair amount of rub on this piece on the design features and the fields. Therefore my grade is AU-55. You can real Mint State pieces that don’t have a lot more design detail.
Certainly one of the nicest US coins ever struck. Looks about AU53, congrats

Agree with the AU details/cleaned
comments.
Judging from the pictures, the reverse seems to show some signs of a light cleaning...likely market acceptable .... but I would not judge it more than an AU55.... Cheers, RickO
AU55
Agree with AU & possibly lightly cleaned. @BillJones comments are spot on.
A beautiful coin but looks like it may have been cleaned so AU details, if not cleaned probably a AU55 on a good day. I like it a lot.
