May be all but impossible to tell from these images, but I just cannot get a good shot for the area in question. See directly below the feather, along the rim.
Please offer your thoughts, including just can’t tell from image .

Yes, lamination. I see these sliver like laminations on Buffalos, especially earlier ones, quite often.
It certainly looks like a lamination, or delamination.... hard to say from the pictures...Cheers, RickO
