Yes, very bad. It's up to Cat 4, and the storm surge is going to be as high as 12 feet. I’m located a few hundred miles to the southeast of it, so all we will get is thunder storms and some win

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Looks like lots of CU members in the Southeast may be out of power and offline for some time. This one looks pretty bad.

The eye is projected to come over my house tomorrow afternoon here in central NC.
By then no where near as powerful as it is now.

And we were just getting cleaned up from Florence in my neighborhood.

I'm still prepared. Food, generator, gasoline, water.

Only the poison ones. Sorry no poison snakes allowed in my garage. In the yard I leave them alone.

Haven't heard back from a friend in Panama City and it's not surprising from the views I've seen on t.v.
    What devastation.
I can't imagine; no homes, possessions gone, vehicles gone, jobs gone, schools destroyed.
    Speechless.

Huge relief efforts in the US again; I hope that those affected get all they need to recover.

Global warming isn't something for future generations to address. It's here right now.

The pardon is for tyrants. They like to declare pardons on holidays, such as the birthday of the dictator, or Christ, or the Revolution. Dictators should be encouraged to keep it up. And we should be encouraged to remember that the promiscuous dispensation of clemency is not a sign of political liberality. It is instead one of those valuable, identifying marks of tyranny.

God bless those that were in the path of this unprecedented monster. Blown away that it was still a cat 3 with a defined eye while in Georgia. A beast for the record books for sure.
