No stars seated liberties

I've wanted one of these coins forever and came close to buying one a couple times in the past, but they've never fit into any set I was working on. But now I'm about finished all my ongoing sets, so I'm happy to say that this one arrived yesterday and is now mine. Please share your examples!

That is something I don't have for my type set. Yours is an outstanding example!

NGC graded this one MS-66. I agree with them although some might not like the toning. Some people call this piece, "The baby Gobrect."

I have found the No Stars Dime to be much scarcer than the half dime. I have never upgraded this one since I bought it many years ago. It is an AU. I read somewhere that there is supposed to be a hoard of these, and that they are easy to find. I have yet to run into that hoard.

When I finished my type set the first time around, which excluded the extreme rarities in the early 1980s, that was last coin I needed. I gave my want list to local dealer who when to the Baltimore show on a regular basis. (This was when I had a "normal job.") He come back saying, "That coin is harder to find than I thought it was."

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

PCGS MS64. It's held back by a light staple scratch in the left obverse field that's visible at some angles. The dealer's photo shows it better:

Really nice job on the animation. I definitely want to try that on my 1837 H10c, which looks flat in my image, but in hand has very nice luster.

I used to have the H10C and 10C No Stars versions, but needed to sell. Your 1837 H10C Large Date RPD is a beauty @zrlevin !
