Recent Type Coin Successful PCGS Crossovers

AuroraBorealisAuroraBorealis Posts: 3,591 ✭✭✭✭✭

I am very pleased with the results as these all crossed at the same grade or better with the 1929-S SLQ bumped up to a 66+ and the 1944-D Walker bumped up a full grade from a MS65 to a MS66... Both of these I have owned for years as well as the 1942 Walker... The Buffalo I have owned about 3 years and the 1929-P SLQ just recently aquired... AB

1929 MS66FH

1929-S MS66+

1938-D/S MS66

1942 PR68

1944-D MS66

The buff and 44-d look under graded to me.

Incredible! I am not sold on the Buff as NT though. The two SLQs are amazing.

    Amazing coins.

Also interesting to compare the strike differences between the two mints for the SLQs.

You may have done better with a "grade as raw" option on those, instead of crossover, why would they admit being less strict on the money grades?

Fantastic group of coins! Probably not hard to figure out which one is my favorite.
Glad to hear the crossover was successful.

The 44 D has a tick mark on the lower skirt line, which I think keeps the grade where it is. I have a beautiful 36 S with a clean obverse but a hit on the wing on the obverse which is also limited to MS 66.

I see your point. I was thinking with the color and clean fields it would have at least received a plus. It is a neat coin regardless of the label.

That is one beautiful SLQ and will be one I will enjoy and am so glad to add it to my collection! Thank you! My other SLQ pictured the 29-S looks like a sister coin to it... You wouldn`t happen to know any history of the two or the 29-P? If so you can PM me if you like... AB
