"Hurry! TPGs are loose with grades right now!"

I've heard people say, "Bad time to submit. Grades are tight right now," or variations of that at a pretty steady pace for a long time, but has anyone ever heard the opposite? I'm not talking about simply a "grades are about right" reaction from a single submission, but general guidance that the timing is right to take advantage of loose grading.

I think that's the fourth quarter collectors club promotion: "Submit five coins for grading this quarter, and we'll be loose with the grading on one of them."
That info is top secret and if shared, risks the ability for 5 Star members in the circle of trust getting the grades we want. How could you suggest doing such a thing?

Let me hurry and re-submit my Palladium
Too late now. Be discreet.
Uh oh. You just outed yourself as a Circle of Trust™ member. So much for getting your Deluxe 5 Star Executive Presidential Level status renewed.

What is the admission to be in the Circle of Trust?
You'll know once you're a member. Actually, you won't. Not even the members can know. It keeps the rules more secure. Oh, and you probably won't know when you're a member, either, in case you're wondering.

Despite my happiness of a super quick turnaround on my 8 coin voucher this past week, the grades I received on my circ Barber Halves were among the most conservative I’ve had in 10+ years.
Seems VF 20 (ex-NGC cracked) is now F12 and F15 (same) is now VG10.
It’s almost like 1990 again.
Thankfully XF40 hasn’t changed.
But no, not loose with grades.
And that’s a good thing.
I’m glad they’re being tight as I’m collecting long term right now. I want a solid coin for my money!

Don't taunt me like that.
It takes years, Paradise. When you start ordering prune juice Margaritas....you will be close!
Actually, if you want loose grades, then slab them yourself.
Guaranteed to be at least a grade higher with optional +.....then add a GAG sticker (Good As Gold)...Cheers, RickO
Buy the coin, not the holder!! Then price it accordingly.
I'm waiting for an undercover investigation and tapes coming out about all these secrets that supposedly are held by those in the inner circle at the grading services with their confidentiality agreements. NGC sends out these emails on grading event galas in posh surroundings. Are there really that many high end coins and collections still ungraded that would fall for this bait?
The two comments I primarily hear about grading by TPGs are:
Never have I heard collectors or dealers complain that grading was too loose when their coins were being graded!
See http://www.doubledimes.com for a free online reference for US twenty-cent pieces
That is information that is shared between dealers who trust one another and are doing walkthrough grading at shows.
