You are probably aware of this Emergency Alert test coming October 3rd @ 2:18 pm EDT. Way off topic but deserves a reminder just to be sure.

I believe you can not block these national alert texts. It will appear on all TV channels and radio stations. For something like this for an actual national emergency I wouldn't want it blocked.

This system will also mark the first time that a “Presidential Alert” will be sent out to a majority of cell phone owners, who won’t be able to opt out.

All that BS about getting the presidential alert and listening to all the phones around me squawking, and my phone was on and somehow I got left out - mine never squawked, no msg or anything.
It came threw on my phone 5 times. I think I got some the ones others missed.
I got that on my phone, it definitely gets your attention!

It must only be to people physically in the US when sent. I'm in Europe and didn't receive it.
I got it as I think everyone in the room. Not a big deal, although some of the reactions I have heard are downright comical. Some people have real mental issues, probably should be in white padded rooms.

A test can reveal problems that can fixed
too much political in this thread regardless or not you like the current president, really a good idea to have a national alert system in case of a real emergency. to keep it coin related, hopefully if the alert comes fast enough, I can get my coins to a safe underground bunker!
I might add: In my coin shop, no politics and no religion discussions , always two sides and way apart in some cases. it always leaves hard feelings, so we just don't discuss. I politely tell them to take it outside.
