Hi All,
My sister sent the image on the Morgan. Looking for your thought's on it. Looks real close to terminal toning.

Fake, color, etc.

My thoughts? I don't like it.

Looks real to me. Grade would be XF but as others have stated it is quite unattractive.

It's only interesting for it's silver content at this point.

Strictly a cull. Exceptionally ugly. Far below XF in terms of a details grade.

    All glory is fleeting.

Fire damage? I don't know.... it's at least worth the spot price of silver.

VF sharpness, unattractive, but the way some people rave about toning around here, I'm surprised that no one is doing handsprings over it.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    Butt ugly.

It is beyond Fugly and into a darker realm of hell. There is silver there, but for the sake of humanity, I would probably pound it into a round chunk of goo and bury it in the depths of mordor.

LOL! Beyond "Crusty", beyond fugly and into a realm few dare to venture.
