Might as well make them easier to find by putting them all in one place.

Get you attribution staff up to acceptable standards for a top TPGS. When PCGS hired Jay from NGC I figured everything would be fixed.

I wonder who is going to do the conservation now. I read on CU that Mr. Hall did all of it.

What kind of value-added service can you provide to make coin dealers/owners want to resubmit their already graded coins?

    1. Imaging Services (TrueView by Default?)
    2. Variety Attribution By Default
    3. Increase Service Speed
    4. Improve Technology (Computer Grading of Moderns)
    5. Add A Designation for Rainbow Toned Coins (Registry Bonus)

2.A. Variety Attribution by outside series experts.
The expert is sent a link to photos by email.
The expert's name and date attributed is put on the label in small print.
Then later buyers can use that name and date to assess accuracy of attribution.
Costs extra compared to in-house attribution.

When I call customer service with a technical question I'd like to be transferred an expert who can definitively answer my question in that same phone call.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

Customer service. I'm brand new to pcgs but I called over the summer about joining and I was made to feel like I was wasting the persons time. Very unpleasant call. Wound up waiting until I could speak to someone at the Philly show. Luckily that was a pleasant experience and I joined and made my submissions all at the show. The crew working the show removed the bitter taste left in my mouth by the phone experience.

I have had many great experiences with telephone (and in-person) PCGS customer service. They are always attentive and thorough, even when they can't just "do what I want them to do" :)

Still too many counterfeit PCGS slabs around, it would be nice if verification page had a scan of both sides of slab.

Mix up the 'free' gift for top tier members. I have too many PCGS shirts! An extra grading coupon, maybe a book choice or ?? would be nice. Just something different that I can choose..keep the shirt in though, they are nice.

    1) How about photographing each coin you receive, place it in a file that can be accessed by members with a fee that could be added to membership fees or paid yearly or monthly. That way, every coin you grade could be authenticated and not just a portion.
    2) What would be the added expense to revert to obverse and reverse grading. Feasible or not?
    3) Make fixing problems with the forum easier to reach. I've been waiting since the last upgrade to get a problem fixed.
Thank you, and good luck PCGS.

When one makes a public announcement of a key employee leaving, It is common practice to soft pedal the departure in order to preserve integrity of ongoing business so as to not negatively affect future business. Mr Hall is an Iconic legend in this arena. The word TERMINATION speaks loudly of a forced removal. In looking at the last several years of performance, I can only assume this was an endeavor to improve the future performance of the company, unfortunately, Mr Hall walks tall and carries a big stick. He will be missed at the helm of this great organization. I for one hope that Mr Orlando focuses the companies future in improving the quality control of the encapsulation process in general, as well as a quicker turn-around of submitted coins, and welcome him to the HOT Seat.

Try to find some time to visit the boards on occasion and address issues of the day. I don't recall seeing @homerunhall, @DonWillis, @PCGSCSManager, @PCGSPhoto or others participate in the boards where it was received with anything other than gratitude for answers provided.

Figure out a way to have someone provide responses to electronic customer service inquiries. There is no point having an email address for customer service if it is nothing but a black hole. It's 2018, the world interacts electronically and customers should not be making an inquiry and not receiving any response. I have in the past made direct inquiries to specific individuals at the company and been able to get adequate resolution to any issues, but the average PCGS client would not know how to gain access to those individuals.

Leverage your best asset, PCGS Coinfacts, and build it into a more dynamic portal for the hobby

I have said to anyone who would listen that PCGS Coinfacts is the future of PCGS, and is unquestionably its best asset. It has incredible potential for the hobby and for CU. PCGS's real product is information, NOT PLASTIC, and as long as this fact is ignored, the business cannot thrive.

Reduce grading fees since coin prices have dropped so severely.
Clean up your price guide. It's off by 25% more than it's right.
Population counts are fiction. Create an incentive for returned labels.
Offer a quarterly special that actually saves me money.
Delays in committed turn around times due to shows are unacceptable.
    For starters.

Stop using your experts to make descions on what stays and goes in registry sets. Why not ask US the collectors.

Agreed. It's not right to include a coin where there is just a single known example of a variety. Difficult and challenging is fine but completion should be attainable.

Update the registry for new modern coins as they are issued from the Mint, and when coin numbers are assigned. Don't wait till the end of the year.

Take a good look at the Price Guide on Modern coins, and update it more often. Several newer issues over a year old still have no values indicated at all, even though auction results are available.

Show estimated values for modern graded, signed coins. Prior policy was not to show coin values in the Registry for David Hall signed coins for example, as there could have been a perceived bias. Now it should be OK.

Make a population column that shows the total number of coins GRADED, in addition to the current column for total population graded and slabbed. This would show the number of 68-69's for example sent in, but not slabbed, when the submission requested 70's only. This would make it much easier to determine 70's value and would show more accurately the Minting quality for modern coins.

Edited to add that the PCGS Registry and support staff have always been very responsive and professional when I have had questions or suggestions, and they are to be commended for their diligent work. I believe the inventory and registry database system already is the best there is anywhere for keeping track of coins.
