Apollo 11 Robbins medallions restruck for 50th anniversary
While I wouldn't mind getting an original Apollo 11 flown Robbins medallion, I'm not willing to spend the ~ $25,000 - $35,000 they would cost to get one.
These restruck medallions hold no interest for me, but they might interest someone else.

BTW, if you've got the scratch, Armstrong's Apollo 11 flown gold Robbins medallion (1 of 3 gold Apollo 11 Robbins medallions, one each for Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins) will be going up for auction within the year. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes for $250,000.

I was 15 when Apollo 11 flew so I remember it well. Another one of those historical moments that I vividly recall.
Hard for me to believe it happened 50 years ago. I may have to get one of the restrikes.

Maybe some body went there today and will bring some back for us here to buy!
Nice medals.... not my area of interest, but would pick one up if occasion presented itself and the price was right. Cheers, RickO
I just read/learned that when the 2019 Apollo 11 Commemorative coins come out they are also going to have a 3" 5 oz Silver "dollar" coin. The Mint is sure going to mess up again . . . What do you think ??

Nice, I like it !!!
I haven't heard anything about it, and I would have assumed we would have seen the design at the same time the other designs came out, but given it's the Government, who knows...

The 5 ounce coin was part of the legislation that passed. The mint had nothing to do with it. Like the coin or hate it, you can thank/blame Congress.
Nearly fifty years. Millennials are scratching their heads as to how this was done even before the flip phone was invented.
