That is one heck of a hole. Given their goofy track record, it should be for sale for spot. I liked Vegas in the 1970's when downtown was it. Peace Roy
That coin is worth more than 24 $. I know they're trying to make a point, but I dislike the technique.
I would never put my car on the lawn with a sign saying 100$, and a NFS sign on the other side.
They have had that clunker in the case for years with the same sign. It's been there both times I visited the shop, and I have not been back to Los Vegas for several years.
When I was dealer I one, that was reasonably attractive, which saying a lot of an 1895-O dollar, in an AU holder. Given the appraisal for this one, mine must have been worth $400,000. Who knew?
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Absolutely not.
Not in the grade it looks to be in.
Toning.
PCGS pricing. As in Pawn Crazy Guess Shop.

Yes. He has NGC buddies who probably told him it was MS63 without the hole.
Should've asked to see it and then asked if you could "call a buddy."

Find out when Rick is out of the shop and have Chumly sell it to you for $20.
Later, Paul.
$24 is a very reasonable price if for sale.
Polish it up and it should bring $26

What does @lordmarcovan think about it?
@from_here_to_brazil...Welcome aboard....and no, it does not look like it is in $40,000 condition. Cheers, RickO
I'm thinking 3 people didn't get the joke
Yup. Looks holey, all right.
Aughtta offer Rick $4 for it.
The hole is convenient because now Rick has a place to store all of his bull manure.
I'm told here that worth is determined by each individual purchaser of a coin.
Tell you what, I have a buddy who's an expert in holed 1895-O Morgan Dollars, mind if I have him come over and tell me what we have here?
