Intercept brought back the "track" style box for PCGS & other sized slabs

I was waiting a long time for these as I'm a fan of the anti-corrosion technology but the only boxes offered did not have the tracks. The boxes come in nicely sealed packaging. They are sturdy and the (PCGS) slabs fit perfectly with little to no wiggle. It's a little tough removing the 2 slabs on either end but really not that big of a deal. The protection is now said to be up to 15 years. I just got done moving my entire collection into them.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

    What happens after 15 years?

I still have several of the old boxes, empty now, purchased more than 10 years ago. These all came with the individual slab holders. (held 10 slabs) I'll probably will throw them out with my recycled trash, since their life span was 10 years.

At that point buy new ones. The protection one box provides is not infinite. It comes down to $1 per year. Maybe at that time it will be $1.25 a year, lol...

That style is still available. I kept the little boxes and use them when I ship slabs instead of the little baggies. I figure it's a good use for them.

I just got my new track boxes from Wizard. So far, I like them, with only a few minor nitpicks. I'll use the old ones for taking coins to shows, as they fit all the slabs and when carrying the coins in travel, they the don't rattle like the plastic boxes.

What I don't understand is how is that box deteriorating over the 14 years? What makes it not protect after that time.

All of their products appear to have a range of life spans, none being infinite. Probably all questions can be best answered here: https://www.staticintercept.com/us/

I ordered three to replace some of my old ones.
I'll be interested to see how the new PCGS and NGC slabs fit. In the old boxes, NGC was always snug but PCGS fit fine.

I received my boxes today and am pleased to report that all my PCGS and NGC slabs of various vintages fit just fine.
I am pleased and will buy more.

Edited to add: The old NGC no-line fatties fit but are quite snug. Actually better than the old track boxes.
