Anyone have a coin collecting account on Instagram?

I never post anything about collecting coins on Facebook because it’s to creepy how skynet knows where you are at all times. I do however use Instagram all the time for my photography so I went ahead and made a coin collecting specific account that won’t track my every location.
Any other users here I can add to chat about coins? I’ve only got one photo up so far, but I’ll bust out fancy cameras to take photos of crappy coins soon!

I have a coin only account on Instagram. Can't get on IG lately because I went on vacation last week and fell into the lake with my phone in my pocket!!!

NO...... I think it would be too much exposure for strangers to see and know what I have
IMO it may be a security concern for me
@Paradisefound That’s why I don’t discuss anything on Facebook, but with IG I’ve turned off location and all that so it’s more anonymous I hope.

Check out my page in my links if you haven't already. I posted videos of coins in the last Legend auction and have built up over 2000 followers pmandating coins along with trip pictures with my bust halves. Don't knock this medium, there are a lot of young collectors out there.

No, I am not interested in showing my coins to everyone on the internet.

Nope !!!
Yep, my username over there is KyleNumismatics.
All your images still store EXIF data. Might want to download a stripper or use a website that has one. EXIF data has your gps, phone model, lots of other stuff about you and your device.
Instagram is a good medium for coins and is filled with collectors... young collectors that are a significant part of the market - that part that is lamented here so often as almost non-existent.
I am on Instagram, but do not post coins... more of a communication medium for myself and family. Cheers, RickO
Is the intent to sell coins by doing this? (Having an Instagram coin account) If so, how does it work?

I ran across this article on ABC7 News, I believe last Christmas. It had a most upsetting post regarding the UK. It stated "One survey out of the UK says more than 78 percent of burglars are using social media to find their targets.
I knew it would be a high number but I never dreamed that large. I also do not know where the network got their data from and if it was completely true, partly true or blatantly false. I wonder if any true statistics are available for the U.S.?

I don't have an IC account but I do know there are a lot of youger dealers and collectors on there. Some of you seasoned dealers should take notice.
Thanks! I think I've got you all added.
@Wabbit I'm not interested in selling coins at this time. I'm still learning and just appreciate sharing my finds with like minded people. I use instagram a lot for my photography so I'm very comfortable using it.
@Azurescens I'll probably be using dslr's that I can turn off gps and wifi, plus, I use Lightroom and can export with no exif data, but I hadn't thought of that so thanks for the reminder!
To everyone that doesn't share their coins for security reasons. I can understand that. I guess I'm willing to take some risk with Instagram because I can control it better than facebook. Besides, in my case, my cameras are way more valuable than my coins and I talk about them and post photos of them all the time so I'm already out there as far as valuable items are concerned.

Most phones and now soon all cameras (even DSLR) will be mandatory WiFi and gps. On phones it doesn't matter if it's on or off, an image will capture gps and device, among other things. It's disconcerting when an advanced photography device needs tracking. Nobody ever thinks of stripping exif since almost know one knows about it.
@Azurescens I'm telling you, Skynet...

Well.. it was proven the government actually was actively spying on people through their cable boxes and gaming consoles.
Instagram has a money/coin collecting account on my kids....
