Why can't PCGS shut this down?

It's flat out copyright infringement, with assorted inserts, plain as the sky is blue.
Counterfeiter starter kit, shaking my head. If that's not bad enough scroll down and view assorted CF coins in CF slabs.

Yikes, that's "scary" !!!
I hope their legal team is working on this NOW. Thanks for posting this.
This is not right and should be stopped.
Yup Alibaba is the worlds marketplace for all things bogus. And yes the rights holder has to file a complaint with DHS customs. They can do seizures but the rights holder has to do the work. Many use Pi's to have contact with the middlemen in the U.S.. Peace Roy

Let’s hope they don’t start including CAC stickers with your order!
More reason to really trust your eye, not the plastic, and to work with a dealer that you can count on.
Oh you can bet they will copy that sticker because they can. They copy all sorts of holographic stickers, packaging, barcodes, logos on a gazillion items. That value sticker should not be just a sticker anymore. Peace Roy

What makes you think it's illegal to offer for sale on a Chinese site in China?
US Copyright law doesn't apply
US Hobby Protection act doesn't apply
Those only come into play when YOU try to import them. And who is going to open 100s of 1000s of packages everyday and analyze their contents?

Whoa
. The crud comes a creepen. Lock your doors and windows.
That's crazy!
HAPPY COLLECTING
smart enough to blur first picture, dumb enough to leave the rest as is.
OP, here is your answer in the quoted post.
Go to the site via the link & scroll down to have a look at the coins the guy is selling, in "PCGS holders". 1908-D Saint MS63 $94.40. 1794 Flowing Hair dollar XF45 $92.34. 1895 Morgan PR61 $92.34.

Now listen boy, I'm tryin' to teach you sumthin' . . . . that ain't no optical illusion, it only looks like an optical illusion.
My mind reader refuses to charge me. . . . . . .
I wonder if the barcodes are correct for the coin and grade
All comments reflect the opinion of the author, even when irrefutably accurate.
I checked one and the number is correct.
One on the website.
They actually say that they are making coins? Wow.
Wow... Here's some text from the same seller who has an 1878-CC Morgan in PCGS MS-65 for $92.34.
Welcome to my Coin Shop
This Dollar is made in 90% silver & 10% copper metal. We also can receive special order .Any Morgan date and mint .
Unbelievable
You see what I mean ! It is the holder that is valuable, not the coin.
But doesn't PCGS have an office, does grading and business in China?
I doubt they'd sit still for this but I may be missing something obvious.

You're right, however it is a TRAVESTY that BABA is allowed to be traded on US exchanges when they openly sell counterfeit "goods" on their site. CHINA is a scourge on this earth. Cities in CA may be banning straws, but 85% of the garbage floating in the worlds ocean is due to that shithole.
They are missing the hologram label on the reverse.
those are shown in another picture
These are improving. Have been following for the past few years. Started out with poorly done fonts, but now the fonts are very hard to distinguish from genuine slabs with just the naked eye alone. Sad that this can be done so brazenly.
Highly enthusiastic about world coins, contemporary circulating counterfeits and unusual stuff
Guess your right, wonder if the mod notified PCGS brass about this? They may already know, don't know. I do know this, nothing good will come of this if not stopped. Think of the possibilities, one could slab n sell flatout fakes, 89P Morgans with an added CC and a serial number that checks out, upgrade coins from VF to XF or XF to AU, I'll stop there.
They know Coin market horrible people desperate for money here. I guess u put their fake coins in them?
If they get that for the holders they making more money than their fake coins. Terrible situation.
"We made coins about 15 years" Say that with a Chinese accent. Thanks for posting Morgansforever.
Sad situation, but nothing can be done since they are not under U.S. law... Watch closely collectors...no doubt scammers are buying these - and their fake coins.
Cheers, RickO
For the same reason they have no cure for cancer.

Reverse is not even close to the real thing. > @MsMorrisine said:
I don't see it and if you buy a coin in one of those holders, you need new glasses!

@Wabbit2313 the holder in the picture are the old pcgs holders with the color being reflected at an angle that shows green.
the holder that you posted is the new pcgs holder
Both could be" genuine"
The problem with Jack is getting jacked. Not that BABA didn't make the rich richer. My mama's not here to advise me on matters. But I don't think Ma cares any more than Ma Bell or that one lady who said "Ebay is not for everyone".
It's a pity, really, in the scope of things.

As much as I think it would be unfair to everyone (including myself) who has spent a lot of money on TruViews, this has reached the point where there's just about no option but to take a hi-res photo of every submitted coin and ad it to the price. It wouldn't be paying for a photo, it would be collectively paying for protecting our hobby.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
If you are spending any significant amount of money, you need to teach yourself what a fake holder and coin might look like. If you are fooled by the above, time to go back to school.
Finally, a coin in one of those holders would never get past CAC, so if you are scared, only buy those. (Or buy only Trueview as mentioned above) This fear of these holders has been around for years with no real noticeable damage. In the thousands of coins I have bought, not even one was in a fake holder.
People were counterfeiting coins in the US long before China came into the picture. It’s just the new reality. Wherever there is money to be made there will be counterfeiters in all products lines everywhere waiting to take advantage of the uninitiated. If you think this is happening to just coins think again

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Disgusting. And it's the new collectors that will suffer.
My YouTube Channel
Think about this, forget the counterfeits coins in CF holders, how about one who purchases a legit 86O Morgan in a 3 holder, then reholders it in a fake PCGS slab as 64, with a legit serial number. Plenty of Morgans out there, where just a one point increase can pay serious dividends. This can be applied to any series, very scary stuff.
there's a lot of bad that can come from this.
i've said it before, super counterfeits are coming. they could be among us now.
The sticker was not ever just a sticker.
It's a indication that verification of the serial number is available.
Fake or real but over-graded coin in fake slab with fake sticker (or glued-on artfully removed real sticker)?
It's not the sticker; it's the website that matters.
One troy ounce .999 silver.....$3.50/pc.
A large part of the Chinese culture for hundreds of years has strong roots with counterfeiting.

^^^ This is a sad comment that reminds me of London mayor Kahn saying terrorism is “part and parcel of living in a big city”. Should US coin collectors bend over and take it from Chinese and other counterfeiters then? I for one an trying to fight back. People have been sold as slaves for hundreds of years and TODAY hundreds of thousands of kids are trafficked for huge profits in the US. Should we stop trying to fight that too since we will never be able to fully stop it?
Why doesn’t eBay respond to reports?
An even sadder day when you are placing child abuse and trafficking on the same level as a fake PCGS holder and coins.
the price alone should be a tip off right there
