Do you have any particular in mind before it ticks back up? Are the recent markets gain provide some easing room to pull the trig?
I am still looking for the right 1915 Pan Pac or Libertas Americanas re-strikes 1 or 2 oz'er.

    Very nice looking coin. Unless you know what you are doing most collectors should buy NGC or PCGS slabbed coins from a reliable source since there are many counterfeits in the marketplace.

    I may get a few proof eagles and buffalos whenever I van find 70's close to melt, along with a few nice common date Saints in 65.

    Yes, Providence continues to draw me in with their very near melt, shipped prices. I picked up some quarter ounce Canadian wolf, bear, bird stuff that is fun.

    Now riding the swell in PM's and surf.

    The bullion price usually doesn't save me much money for the gold pieces I like, which are usually $5 gold pieces and smaller in AU to low end Unc.

    There can be a spill over at times. Years ago when gold bullion got hot, it spilled over to the numismatic gold market, but that seems to be less common today.

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    With respect to the Pan-Pac $2.50 in the OP ...

    I hope you won't buy that one. That mark between Ms. Liberty's face and the medical symbol is significant. When you are selling these coins, dealers get super critical about everty defect. These coins do come nice.

    An eBay seller turned down $3600 offer a couple months ago and the similar one sold for $3800.
    It is a slimmer chance on HA due to the hefty juice + now HI excise tax be added = 24% :#
    I know the low spot does not affect some including this one but please wish me luck...will you all? <3

    My pockets are stitched on the bottom so my Max is probably SLIM to NONE against high rollers .....
    This is part of my learning curve navigating and playing in those big name on line auctions houses so I will have fun no matter :p

    With people throwing money into cryptocurriences, a large amount of money that would otherwise be invested in metals is just.. gone.

    That crash is probably one of the few major things that would bring metals back up quickly.

    I would love nothing more than to be able to find that special date I’m looking for than will show this dip in the gold price. But the truth of the matter I’m pretty sure it will not affect the price of numismatic pieces until it drops quite a bit more and even then I don’t see it really making any big difference. But I can hope :)

    The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

    Yap.....just like the crude...you don't see the lower price at the pump right away BUT they sure do up it on a slight uptick :#
