Found this in the CULL Bin. Pretty rough but for under a buck why not!? - Side note I picked up a Doubled Die Variety of a foreign coin as well for 10c in the world coin Bin and posted in world coin. I am having no such luck locating anything but the coin itself. It is a strong one! Any looks would be very appreciative

    It came from the cull bin ... and that is where it belonged. If you paid more than a dime for it you overpaid.

    I believe that the variety numbers are 66/370a, which is an R-2. It is badly corroded, but perhaps this will spark your interest in the series. There is now an excellent new book on the subject.

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible.     It's roached, yes.
    But it is a piece of this country's turbulent past. And it did its job in a period of economic distress, replacing "real money" people socked away.
    A dollar? I say it is worth every cent!
