Peace Dollar Anniversary

It's almost here, the anniversary of our beloved Peace Dollar! 1921-2021 What would you like to see for the centennial celebration? Another Peace Dollar with dual dates? How about 24–karat gold, in high–relief, with raised edge lettering, and a proof finish? That would be special!!!! Maybe a silver high-relief and gold high-relief set? Perhaps a 5 oz silver puck??? How about a dual set Morgan & Peace Dollar since that marked the ending/beginning of two popular series....
I can't imagine the mint would miss an opportunity to make money on this one...they're probably already working on it....any inside information?????

I would hope so for something really unique, something that actually shows out of the box thinking. Maybe, a two coin set where one coin is both obverses and the other is both reverses. That would be really cool to see at least to me, just something way out of left field. It could come in both silver and gold!
Forgot to mention I was referring to both the end of the Morgans and start of the Peace dollars if they were to commemorate both series's.
A government accident left me a former man, a potato. That photo on my profile is a low resolution selfie. I like coins.
It would be nice to see something like that actually happen... time will tell.
I'd like to see a Morgan Dollar and a Peace Dollar struck with the dual dates "1921-2021". Strike each on the ASE planchet and AGE planchet for a total of four coins.

Put them on a 90% silver planchet,,,,,, they will milk spot on a silver eagle planchet.
It would be nice to see a high relief, silver Peace Dollar...and done full size as well. These dinky dollars are a joke. Cheers, RickO
High relief from original casts with dual date. No silly "shiny" stuff, either.
I'd settle for a genuine US Mint ultra high relief in 90% or .999 silver
To me, dual dates implies they are outside of the series. So just a simple 2021 for the date.
I'd buy a gold version, too.

It is outside the series; and the Peace dollar was never made in exaggerated "ultra high relief." Keep it direct, simple and historically accurate.
Agree. Make it similar to the original 1921 high relief Peace Dollar. Also we need the dual dates to signify that it's a 100th year commemorative coin.

A 2021 high relief matte proof struck in 90% silver. I would pay way too much for that
Collector, occasional seller
A 2021 Peace dollar in original relief and composition would suit me fine.
send a note to the philly mint
Don't worry the mint will make a mess of it.

If I'm not mistaken unless it's a medal or bullion, it'll need congressional approval . . .
1947-P & D; 1948-D; 1949-P & S; 1950-D & S; and 1952-S.
Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!
First choice - The emergence of a genuine 1964 Peace dollar with full write-up and great photos.
Second Choice - A 2-1/2 ounce gold high-relief Peace dollar set, one with round rims and one with Octagonal rims.
The Mint Bureau might not be able to legally produce a duplicate of the original in 90% silver. There was a legislative problem doing this with the 1916 designs so they made them as bullion pieces. An ounce of gold will not provide enough volume to resemble a silver dollar.
Real sandblasting might be too labor intensive -- of course, maybe collectors can volunteer to wield the blasting nozzle....
P D S W morgan and peace set.
Paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value. Zero. Voltaire. Ebay coinbowlllc
I'd love a 2021 silver Peace dollar.
But I remember how the Mint celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Mercury dime, SL quarter, and WL half...
with gold bullion.
Ridiculous way to celebrate 3 of the greatest silver coin designs.
And a missed opportunity.

If the Mint misses the boat, at least we're likely to see a Peace dollar fantasy overstrike and a 2oz medal from Dan Carr: https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/comment/12021100/#Comment_12021100

A set of four coins (all with the normal weight and diameter, in 900 silver with a satin finish) :
2021 Morgan Dollar.
2021 Peace Dollar.
1964-D Morgan Dollar from the original master hubs (which the US Mint still has).
1964-D Peace Dollar from the original master hubs (which the US Mint still has).
I was really hoping to see them in silver, but I have a feeling you are absolutely right.
