Buffalo nickel. Both the Native and the buffalo are stoic, weathered and proud. Their fall from grace is deeply saddening and I'm glad they are honored in this coin. Bonus points; hobo nickels are very cool.

The Bust coinage on the bottom left.

They're all beautiful coins, but I'm drawn to the IHC. It was the series I first started to collect as a kid... sentimental value...

The 1881 3 center! It's probably worth the most and I love the look of it.

Best looking to me 1890 dime.

The Buffalo nickel and Indian cent. Probably because I collect and can relate to them . (I can remember the days of picking them out of my pocket change.) Same with Liberty quarters and Franklin half dollars.

All of the coins look nice, but if it was just one I'd pick the 1807 dime since I don't have that type in my collection.

  • ParadisefoundParadisefound Posts: 8,588 ✭✭✭✭✭

I like them ALL but the 1890 seated liberty dime is my first choice :)

1890 Dime and I know nothing about that series. It just looks flawless according to that picture!

I like early federal coinage. My preference is the 1807 dime and the CBQ in that order.

Three cent because it is very rare to see them in that condition. I like them all

I would also pick the 1807. I love the look of old circulated silver and the bust design. Just imagine everything that coin has seen in the past 211 years,

I agree with BuffaloIronTail I like that buffalo. It is truly a thing of beauty. Although all the coins are exceptional, I think the Buffalo is Just Majestic.

I agree with @Toma regarding the Buffalo Nickel's character and if it had been a 1913 T1 I would have probably picked it in similar strike and condition, I have had the 1890 proof LSD(and where were you guys when I tried to sell it but couldn't?) I love the 1807 half dollar but I would have to pick the Isabella(even though it is a Commemorative). All are quite nice in their own way.

Buffalo nickel design. It's the only artistic, creative one in the bunch. Notice how the artist used the full space of the coin for his design. It is a dynamic, powerful composition built of skillful lines and planes. The others are just isolated shapes plopped into a round form with or without various silly ornaments....they have no power; they say nothing.

What he said........The buff is my favorite, but the IHC and Seated dime pop out at me as well.

    1807 , nice obverse

  • topstuftopstuf Posts: 14,803 ✭✭✭✭✭

Yep on the 1807 dime. Scarcer in circ that the other fancier graded but commoner coins.
Besides, I am a sucker for the old stuff. :)
