My box of twenty......or not

I collect CC Morgans, and without taking varieties into account, there are only 13 coins in the series. Far less than twenty.
I'm thinking of starting something else and would like input as to your box of less than twenty.
For instance I think that War Nickels, without varieties would fit in a box, right?
What else?

You could throw in either the 3 - 1943 steel cents to the nickels, or the Canadian 1942-45 war nickels. And Canada has war nickels for Korea, which adds 1951-54.
Ike dollars. If more than 20, exclude the proofs. SBA $s is <20. Twenty Cent pieces. Not a lot in U.S.
DMPL CC Morgan's.
No hard and fast rules. Whatever you can dream up. There is a box of 10 (My 10 Best Coins) in the Registry Showcase section as well.
Think of quality and rarity instead of number. That’s how I see it when doing box of twenty.
Do a box full of coins struck using fractured, collapsing dies. All of them would be visually interesting.

20 of any coin you like in high grade. I was doing silver that was to fast so I started doing books of 7 page's so that's 63 coins per book. Now I'm on one oz. bars get a bit more per book, That's just me crazy Type2.

If that's a Harco album it's vinyl and you will get green bars.
Ye it was I pulled all of them out as soon as I got it. I was lucky on most of them where in little holder in the album.

Very interesting concept. I think any serious Capped Bust Half collector would agree with you.
Lots of possibilities: tokens, CB quarters and halves, Liberty Seated quarters, large cents, Shield nickels, .....

A type set of other dollar series.
Hey, for only 5 PCGS boxes, you can have a complete set of Morgan Dollars Basic, Circulation Strikes (1878-1921). (97 coins) With all the CC's, you are well on your way.
AU, my first set was also cc Morgan’s. My question for people who collect this is...does the 1900 O/CC count as part. Of this....I added one, but was never sure.
For next set, I suggest some key other cc pieces, maybe a trade dollar, a twenty cent price , 50 cent piece and some old gold

Classic head gold. You can collect both quarter and half eagles.
A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.
A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.
It's not included in the 13 coin PCGS Morgan CC registry set. But I got one anyway for my CC set.

Since you're not taking in to account varieties, you could fill out your CC box of 20 with the 6 CC Trade Dollars and an 1870-CC Seated. Keeps you on the same theme basically...

You could try the U.S./Philippines one Peso circulation strikes (1903-1936) -
They used the same planchet as the Carson City Morgan dollar and like the Carson City Morgan dollar, in the higher grades they get real expensive - real fast.
Civil War coins. The entire series would be way more than 20 issues, but 20 representative coins would be pretty impressive, especially if you included gold.
Half dollar type set.

I have to warn you, that's how I got started. Completed the CC Morgans (mostly DMPL, except for the 89 and 93). Then I wanted one CC Trade Dollar example and one Seated. Now I'm fully engrossed in finding all of the obscure CC Trade Dollar varieties (and others) and a full set of Seated CC dollars (still need a 73, will likely be an impaired one on my budget). I blame Crypto for assembling his T$1 set and displaying it for all of us too weak to resist the pull!!!

How many branch mint proofs are there?
You could also add a couple toners, PL, or DMPL coins.
I know you love your silvers @AUandAG but for a change would you consider $10 Indian?
They would be so wonderfully fill your box of 20 as well as fun hunting to go with it
Not a fan of the box of 20 concept for coins. I suspect my wife would be a huge fan of the box of twenty for beer steins... Especially if they stayed in the box.
If you are commited to this concept, consider a set of the 1918-1945 One Peso series from Mexico.
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
How about anything you want, you can always do anther box.
