What "buttons " do we need to add in addition to
Flag, Quote, Disagree, Agree, Like, LOL ?
I ponder this because I saw that derryb aptly posted:
@derryb said, in another thread:
who removed the "not a DDO" button?
Lets see what we can think of
Successful transactions with : MICHAELDIXON, Manorcourtman, Bochiman, bolivarshagnasty, AUandAG, onlyroosies, chumley, Weiss, jdimmick, BAJJERFAN, gene1978, TJM965, Smittys, GRANDAM, JTHawaii, mainejoe, softparade, derryb
Bad transactions with : nobody to date

BS button
Sometimes stating that we "disagree" is an understatement.
A button to stop the proliferation of buttons.
I'd like to see the disagree button removed. Anyone who disagrees should post their reasons why.
Short of that, I would like to see a warning pop up asking you if you are sure you want to hit the disagree button, as it commonly gets hit by accident when people scroll through on their phones.
Why would anyone care if some random stranger on the Internet agrees with him or her? I honestly don't get it. Not directed at you or the original poster (I had neither of you in mind when writing this), but these individuals usually fall into one of two categories: (1) the complete egomaniac who thinks he is infallible and beyond reproach, or (2) the needy type that constantly needs affirmation from others. I honestly wonder whether some of the latter were bullied as children or otherwise felt so unloved as children that they need constant affirmation and reassurance as adults. Regardless of etiology, it borders on being pathological. There are more than a couple posters who would benefit from therapy on this point.
All true, but they rate us with stars (just like kids in school) and those strikes take points off your total. I will say that once you get to 5 stars it is less of a concern. It is easy to get hung up on it but as you say, who really cares (or who should care).
For sure, a lot of people just want to be loved.
If only they handed out (CAC) stickers like they do in elementary school, we could all be happy.
A "You go girl" button for the female forum members!
In my elementary school they handed out little buttons with the school name on it. The principal would show up at lunch, recess, in class, wherever, to present one to an "outstanding" or helpful (teacher's pet) student who was nominated by a teacher. This went on for a few weeks and I tried to do whatever I could to earn one. Finally at lunch one day I was presented with my prize.
Then a couple days later they gave them out to everyone.
Why do "disagrees" have to be explained but not "agrees"?

Maybe our problem is that the buttons need to be "Geographically Sensitive". Disagree just sounds too....official for some of us. And Agree and LOL seem too similar to some, and completely different to others. We need something WE understand, based on where we are posting from:
Minnesota: "Uffda" button
California: "Gnarly Dude" button
New York: "Fergiddaboutit" button
Washington DC: "Yea" and "Nay" buttons
Florida: "Eh?" button
I'm geographically limited myself, so I probably didn't identify YOUR local button.....Feel free.
On a serious note, how many female posters do we actually have? I can only think of three: Charmy, Stefanie (coinsarefun), and one other whose moniker escapes me at the moment.
a flag option for political posts?
Since I'm in the Southeast I guess agree would be "darn tootin" and disagree would be "Bless your heart"!
I'd love to have functionality that hides ignored users' threads.
I love the way "Bless your heart!" is used in the south. The Wife was in a class with what turned out to be mainly foreign/first generation students. She tried to explain to them that "BYH" wasn't really a nice thing...more of a bad thing, said nicely.
They didn't understand it at all, and finally decided that they would just avoid the saying to be safe.
That would be more useful for a lot of the men.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
An "Off Topic" button, such as this thread deserves.
You go, girls!!
Kkathyl?
Isn't there also one in Alaska? Or is it Hawaii?
A " don't push my button " button.
"Agree" means you concur with what someone said. No further comment necessary.
"Disagree" means you have a different opinion or perspective, and unless you elaborate we will never know what it is.
You go girl!
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Yes! That's the one. I'm not sure about the other.
How about we have way too much time to discuss sh*t button.
Go outside and get off the device button would be a good one for the under 25 crowd.

How about that if you push the "Disagree" button, that it pops up like the "Quote" requiring you to type something in a comment que?
That would be great.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
HI
Lets go girls!
I also see Amanda Varner is a member. I have not seen her here much but I used to see her on Cointalk. I think she is a coin dealer.
Hilarious.
Is 'specialist' still a secret to most on this bd?
Edited:, after reading my incoherent late night post.

"Sweet As"

And, no, I didn't miss an "s"...

Another forum has "optimistic" and "educational". I was surprised this forum didn't have them when I joined, as the other forum software is inferior.
There's an ABC, too, for people to get the hint to clean up their posts.
All three would be very valuable here. Especially the "informational" one with a rinky dink book icon.
Not a new button, but make them a double click or something. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve clicked on them scrolling the screen. Most of which are the disagree being that it’s right in the middle of the screen.

I would say there are at least seven ladies that post on this forum....and could be more...As far as other buttons...No recommendations... Though I do like the idea that a 'disagree' should force an explanation. I have no issue with people disagreeing with me, I just like to understand their point of view.... I may change my mind, or it could lead to a better understanding of an issue. Cheers, RickO
I tried to get a few girlfriends here, to no avail. My wife doesn't want to come here, either. I'm okay with that, as I sit in the shop alone, today .... pondering life's Mister Ease.
Pardon if it's already been suggested ..... "Have you been drinking?"
How about a variation on FB icons.
Here is a novel idea: Since many obsess over likes, agrees, disagrees, etc., why not get rid of all buttons and the stupid count displays with it?
How about a "Safe Place" button - This way if you post something that offends me, you'll know I went into the hall closet for awhile.
here are some coin related buttons:
"cleaned"
"fresh"
"original"
"pass"
i also another good one would be "loser." that could be coin related or not.
"Safe place" are my trigger words/phrase.
Police should be able to pull people over just for being stupid if you know what I mean.
"Stupid" button please because my coin looks like a super rare......blah, blah, blah.....Is it?
