I was following this listing with a lot of others that suddenly got cancelled as "lost" or "broken":
How would you grade this one? It sure looks like a lot of AUs that I've seen.

Beat up VF that would not likely grade by TPGs.
bids must not have been high enough for seller. does a coin actually get lost or stolen? lol -details. seller was from France, I don't buy coins out of the country
More likely someone offered to buy it if he cancelled bids at a price he was willing to take.

Hello,
The second bidder on the previous auction cancelled by first bidder asked us to make a second chance offer. So we did.

It is a tough Type 2 date, but unfortunately it has been cleaned in an attempt to “improve” it. Without the cleaning/processing, it would grade in the low-to-mid AU range.
The few moderate rim dings would decrease the value.
But, otherwise, a decent (NOT adversely cleaned) EF-45.
That coin has seen a lot of handling, and not all of it was gentle.... If one could have won it at or below melt, it would be good for a 'stack' of bullion... Cheers, RickO
It's strange but that guy from France lists the butt ends of his coins first, I can't recall seeing anything like that.
