    Thank you for posting this. Very interesting video. (And yes, turn the audio down. Off would be even better imho.) Half dollars are mentioned in the captions, but I can't discern the Walker design ... or any federal coinage design .... from the video. The best detail is at about 9:20. The product looks bimetallic. Maybe someone can sleuth out the year of the video, or thereabouts.

    At any rate, the clip at 8:38 shows why there are so few MS67s. Oh the humanity!

    Given all of the coin to coin contact, it's easy see why there are so few MS-65+ coins available. The problems start at DAY ONE.

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    At about 6:50 it talks about assay coins being taken from each batch or "journey" of coins. I am unfamiliar with the term "journey" as related to coins.

    Yup. Back then the coins were made to facilitate commerce.
