Hello all. I'm a card guy so you'll find me on the other forums here on CU. I do, however, have small collection of 23 Morgans ranging from 1880 to 1935. I'm quite ignorant about coins so I just wanted to see what I have here value wise. I've looked some of them up and they sell for an average of $30 apiece. (I just want to make sure I don't have an incredibly rare coin worth millions! ;) ) Thanks in advance.

ETA- my label should read 1889, not 1829.

No Morgan's were made in 1829 yours is 1889. There is a good price guide on this site. Photograde is here as well. They are a good way to start looking into it.

Hi. :) . Nothing above common value based on the pics except for the 1935 Peace dollar. The 1901 is a better date, but not really in that grade. The 1935 looks to be an AU+ coin....

Photography inhibits, but the 22 Peace Dollar (group 2, top left) appears to have an exceptional strike.
Or it could be 4/20 again....
    Or both....

Based on those photos I am not seeing anything a dealer would pay more than a silver dollar base level amount.

Looks like common Morgans and Peace dollars.... Nothing exceptional stands out...Cheers, RickO

There are not any high priced dates here, but the good new is that they all appear to be genuine.

If you should decide to expand your collection, you should be aware that the Chinese have turned out probably millions of counterfeit Morgan Dollars and fewer Peace Dollars. They concentrate on making "circulated" examples of even the common date and mint mark combinations, and soemtimes they even invent some, like a 1904-CC. The Carson City Mint closed in 1893.

I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
