All 3 MS64s. The 16-D went up a point, it was previously in a yellow tag ANACS 63 holder.

I didn't know I was initially going to assemble a 1st year walker set, but I got the 16-S raw for a really good price, then I found a super 16 philly in an ICCG holder and sent it in raw, and late last year the 16-D showed up.

MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

The fields (the look of a medal/'pebbled' look to fields as opposed to smooth in other years) in the first year of issue give the design a nice look. Your examples are wonderful in looks and strike. Congratulations.

That $1.50 in pocket change is very, very nice.

Keep the pictured coins in slabs and find three other 1916 dated coins from the three mints that a raw and in good condition. Put them in your pocket as pocket change and get used to the feel of large silver coins jangling in you pocket.

Many of the 1917 dated coins also feature this look - but I think you already know this.

That is a pretty amazing set to sort of stumble into. I've always loved the WLH and have done two short sets and am working on the full set..

The only "distraction" is the toning on the 'S'. Nicely matched.

The WLH is such a beautiful coin... and I can remember having several in my pocket (as a paper boy)...That was a lot of money for a kid at the time... then I would go back to the paper office and put all the money on the desk of the manager. He would count it and check the number of papers I took out/returned, then give my my commission (I think it was two cents of an eight cent paper then). It was worth the effort for a young kid... well, winter was not fun, doing the whole route and then standing in front of the Supermarket in the cold, nasty night...People did not like to stop and dig money out of their pockets/purse in that weather. :# Cheers, RickO

Will get those eventually. I have several toned walkers from the 30s and 40s.

Thanks everyone! I am quite happy with those 3.
