What was this guy's deal? I don't think there were any WWII era Hippies. Maybe he was considered a Beatnik? Or maybe I shouldn't be looking for historical accuracy in a movie with a cast that included Dirty Harry, Archie Bunker, Kojak, Uncle Leo and Don Rickles.

Crack that RIP
Give the past the slip
Step on a crack
Break your momma's back
When a problem comes along
You must RIP it
Before the cream sits out too long
You must RIP it
When something's going wrong
You must RIP it
Now RIP it
Into shape
Shape it up
Get straight
Go forward
Move ahead
Try to detect it
It's not too late
To RIP it
RIP it good
When a good time turns around
You must RIP it
You will never live it down
Unless you RIP it
No one gets away
Until they RIP it
I say RIP it
RIP it good
I say RIP it
RIP it good
Crack that RIP
Give the past the slip
Step on a crack
Break your momma's back
When a problem comes along
You must RIP it
RIP it good!!!!!
Don't do it, man. This whole thing is already cursed. Bad hee-bee-jee-bees all over this thing. That box is wearing a tiki medallion it got from Vincent Price.

oh yeah.. sorry about the fake news here. I see bids are at a six pack. This would be three of those, to gather the cohonies.
'packGOD'. sorry man... no such thing.

They had me looking at some of my unopened and considering ripping it, so I had to go pick up a cheap box of modern and rip it just to hold back the urge to open the vintage on the shelf.

I can't quite get my mind around the idea that a box from 1993 could contain a card worth 100k today. I hope you get another Jeter that has a shot at a 10. Good luck!

I can now find the sale in a link from sports collectors daily, but when I search for the sale on Ebay on my own, it is not showing up. I may just be ebay search challenged.
Broseph, I'm down with the rippage. But this box got that bad juju. You gotta whack a squirrel dead and boil it in mayonaise, then bury it next General Jack Southington III's grave outside Macon, GA to get it off. Bad juju, Brotato Chip.
Yep with the $100K Jeter sale on Ebay recently, I am guessing more and more people will be box breaking their sealed 93SP boxes.
I've had three sealed boxes since 93 and I just can't bring myself to open them. You've got more guts than I do. LOL Shame that some of those cards look kinda beat up.
The second Jeter looks pretty good! No dings in the bottom left which is awesome. That is the notorious issue with the card. One of the corners looks like it has slight wear. But overall could be a solid 8 or 9. Good stuff!
BTW - Major disappointment moment for me today. Found an online wholesaler claiming to have two sealed 93SP boxes for only $500 a box. Bought it right away. Then this afternoon the refund email comes saying that they were actually out of stock. I think they realized there was no price update in the system and didn't want to sell the two boxes at only $500 a piece. They'll probably wind up selling them in a few weeks at the going rate of $2K plus. Almost got a hell of a deal.
@BALROG said: responded a bit ago but asked about yur mom's hotness again so I may be on my way outta here quickly heh heh (as post removed)
Dude,, if you got three boxes, ya gotta open one. If you needed the money you would have already sold. NO chance a modern card holds it;s value like the 99 k so might as well at least live life and go for the gusto for fun, and rip one box !!!
MOSH ON !!!
(if still here last of this box ripped over weekend)
Haha..No way man. Think of the big picture.
The 100K sale will suddenly start causing a frenzy of box breaking. New influx of Jeter's are sent in. But PSA is notorious for pop control. So you'll have a ton of new 7's and 8's. Then eventually 9's will be at $10K and the super scarce 10's will be even higher in a few years. So this will make sealed boxes much more of a premium because of how many people will want to go for a 10.
Right now you can probably get $2000-2200 for a sealed box on Ebay. But after 9's and 10's continue to sky rocket over the next few years, sealed boxes could be selling for 3-5x as much. Not worth giving away $6000-10,000 to pull what will most likely be graded an 8. LOL

Stick it in the freezer first.
Dude!!!
Serious rip right here. Good luck!!!
Live cast this on youtube!
Fun rip, but pricey. Hope it is a 4 jeter box for you!
Risky rip, but best of luck to you.

Oooh watching!
@BALROG
I have never left one thing sealed and even when I planned to, some heavy drinking was always the culprit.
That is a lot of dough to potentially have little remaining value.
I will chip in on a 6 pack to see it opened live on cam. Get a few more peeps and you'll be forced to open. xD
6 pack? I'll ship ya a case brother.
As much as I dig your rips, this is road I likely wouldn't travel myself. But will support you in whatever your choice.

I may be hoarding too much 80's junk wax but I like it!
I am curious if you plan to build the set or just crackin' for Jeter (and fairly decent 10s)?
A small pot sweetener shall you open would be that I will contribute a good handful of cards from the set extras I have that might help fill your set.

check and mate
Some serious string bidding in that Jeter auction. Will be curious to see if some bids get canceled.
Good catch David - before this started, I would have guessed $50k final price but who knows in this marketplace
Moderator, I believe we can go ahead and file this one away as "fake news".
GREAT movie. GREAT theme song.

You have balls of steel. I hope you pull another Jeter. I regret selling my box, knowing what they sell for now. WOW!!!
I am not sure the $99,000 sale last night was legit for the Jeter. I can no longer find a record of it on Ebay. Can anyone else find the sale?
I can now find the sale in a link from sports collectors daily, but when I search for the sale on Ebay on my own, it is not showing up. I may just be ebay search challenged.

Thanks for posting all this! I am entertained Good luck in pulling a PSA 10 JEETZ!
Jeter $99,000 Popcorn Girl Priceless
I believe "cancelled" means the bid was removed, either by ebay, or PWCC. If the bidder removed the bid, it should say "retracted".
