With my naked eye I thought it might be but upon magnification I'm thinking NO :smile:

    The "L" (when present) is on the ribbon under the lowest feather. It is also rotated 90-degrees so the base is on the left.

    Thanks for the information, I enlarged the bust because there is too much wear to discern the 'L'.

    Even when the coin is well worn, an 1864-L Cent will usually have a little lump of metal in that area.

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
