"We're going to need more staples."

This is a lot in a small auction I may go to tomorrow.
I count 23 staples.
Sometimes I just wonder.

Coins and staples should never be allowed within 10 feet of each other. I just received an auction lot with a bunch of flips stapled to cardboard for shipping. It was like playing that game "Operation" trying to get everything out without any scratches to the coins. Happy to report that I was successful.

I must admit.. I never seen anything like that.

That is a darn shame to waste staples like that. They could have stacked the flips and used fewer staples.

:o Wow... never seen that before....I do have coins in flips...mostly purchased that way. Years ago I put some in myself, then got smart. ;) Cheers, RickO

Maybe they were trying to replicate car grilles of the era.

I see the front end of a '55 Buick when I squint a little.

I only see 21 (because at least what is shown it appears that two of the coins have basic closure staples on only three sides).

Naw... if that were the case, the top center staple wouldn't be bent up like that, and all the staples would be parallel or perpendicular to one another.
