My latest pick up. A 1955 Lincoln Cent Double Die Obverse.

divecchiadivecchia Posts: 6,714 ✭✭✭✭✭

Here is a photo of the obverse and the reverse of my latest pickup. It is my fourth and final Lincoln Cent in my type set. I will not be doing the modern cents for now, but that may change later. Take a look and let me know what you think.

As always thanks for looking.

Thanks very much for the nice comments, it's always appreciated.

It is one of my favorites. I've always liked the 1955 Double Die since the first time I saw one, 30+ years ago.

Considering it's popularity the 1955 DDO was a more difficult coin to locate than I thought. Many of the ones I looked at had spots on them or other marks that were distracting. I feel lucky having found this one.

Thanks again for the kind words.

Once I get enough coins in my collection, I may end up having someone photograph them for me.
