Depends on how bad you want the coin. I did this now long ago. A coin that was listed for weeks that I was watching was still available when an 8% came up. I decided to wait for a 10%. Not more than a week late the coin sold. Now I would have bought it at the original asking price without ebay bucks. Don't regret it!

At this stage, it is all about the price point. 2% is 2%
I did throw out a best offer so we will see ......
So greedy... Us a 2% cashback credit card and you are at 10%!
Bottom line man, bottom line.
I do not use credit cards to buy coins anymore, cash only.
We did the Dave Ramsey plan, so never had credit cards. Then I realized how much cash I was passing up with my ebay spending... I now use a 2% cash back card, pay it off immediately, and we average probably $300 cashback each month.
going to buy and use my chase freedom card for another 5 percent, that's chase's 5 percent bonus this quarter, paypal. I also got the 8 percent sell, will be busy listing for the next 2 days
I think I got lucky. I got an AU random date $10 lib for ~$670 from an ebay store that normally lists everything in the bullion category and it qualified for the 8%. Now I look at the same item and it's at $701, in the bullion category and out of stock. So 15 minutes after I bought it they switched back to bullion category, raised the price $30 and sold out apparently. Seems like I got a deal but we'll see if it gets reversed as an "out of stock sorry" type thing if they made a mistake when I happened to buy.
During the month eBay Bucks are issued, I'm not picky whether it's 6, 8, or 10%. Just glad to get bucks while spending bucks. Today I got a random AU $20 Lib from Apmex. $30 over melt, cashed about $150 in eBay Bucks, and got $100 eBay Bucks on the deal.
I wonder about their algorithm. After getting the past several offers - and after spending more on eBay in the past six months than ever before - I didn't receive the current offer. ???
It seems a lot of people are posting they got the offer and they havent spent their bucks from last quarter yet. Is anyone getting the 8% after having already spent their bucks cert? I spent my bucks quickly, and did NOT get this most recent 8%

I spent all of my ebucks certificate and still received the offer.
Spent about 20% of mine, no offer yet. However, last quarter was the first time I ever received an offer and received three of them. Finally took advantage of the 15% deal.

I spent all of mine on both accounts and got offers on both accounts.
It's a waste of time speculating as to how the eBay algorithm works.
In fact, the offers I got were different. On one account it is 8% on buying and selling. On the other account it is just 8% on buying.

I never get the selling one, but I also have 100K listed.
I only get the selling one on the account I rarely use to sell anything. But last time, I managed to sell about $1300 in bullion on their in one night to get some eBay bucks. Might have to try the same thing this time. That's a real win-win. Sell some widgets, get cash AND get eBay bucks!

I would save like him, but would never invest like him.
do the selling bonus ebay bucks show up on your account once the item is delivered?
sold a few things yesterday and noticed they didn't show up on the ebay bucks page and wasn't sure how that worked or if I did something wrong (never sold during a sellers bonus promotion)
Wait for 10% and if it's a coin worth buying, someone else will.

yeah, i just write down each sale and times it by .08, because I don't want to go over the 500 dollar cap
or just go to the ebucks link, and it will do the math for you.
that's only for the purchases, for sales you made under the bonus period it doesn't show up anywhere (that I see) and coinpalice mentioned they don't appear til the end of the quarter.

Do not know that as I do not get the selling offer. If I did, I would max out a $500 every quarter.
I received the selling and buying offer. I just posted a 1938 D Boone in PCGS 66 and a Spanish Trail in PCGS 66 for below market (certainly below any listed on ebay or collectors marketplace)....

No, they don't show up until the end of the period, judging by what happened to me in the 1st quarter. Bit of a nuisance as I constantly had to remind myself that I had $100 in Bucks coming later so I didn't overspend my eBay bucks.

Take the 8%, the 10% may never come.
I got one also - I'm ready to go. Someone find me some bullion near spot!
I want the 10.

I only use credit cards on eBay. For security, the charge back on the credit card gives maximum protection.
Counteroffer to me .... Declined, way too many other coins to buy.
Second Best offer in that I know the seller (forum member) will not take ....
Paypal is my security blanket
Well you can use the eBay bucks in your account (If you have not spent them already) and get 8% back on those right now. What a deal!
I didn't get an eBay bucks offer

Isn't the max per transaction $100? So if you're maxing out you can max out again when the 10% comes.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Yes, but the quarterly max is $500 so you can only do it so many times.
Make sure you check your messages on eBay not just your email. Sometimes it gets there first.
Looks like all I got from them was an invoice. Lucky me.

I got it for once after missing the last one. I owe them money but have 137 listings to do today.
The Chase Freedom CC 5% deal pairs nicely with this 8% Ebay deal.
