Take the 8%, the 10% may never come.

I got one also - I'm ready to go. Someone find me some bullion near spot!

I only use credit cards on eBay. For security, the charge back on the credit card gives maximum protection.

Well you can use the eBay bucks in your account (If you have not spent them already) and get 8% back on those right now. What a deal!

Depends on how bad you want the coin. I did this now long ago. A coin that was listed for weeks that I was watching was still available when an 8% came up. I decided to wait for a 10%. Not more than a week late the coin sold. Now I would have bought it at the original asking price without ebay bucks. Don't regret it!

At this stage, it is all about the price point. 2% is 2%

Isn't the max per transaction $100? So if you're maxing out you can max out again when the 10% comes.

Yes, but the quarterly max is $500 so you can only do it so many times.

We did the Dave Ramsey plan, so never had credit cards. Then I realized how much cash I was passing up with my ebay spending... I now use a 2% cash back card, pay it off immediately, and we average probably $300 cashback each month.

I think I got lucky. I got an AU random date $10 lib for ~$670 from an ebay store that normally lists everything in the bullion category and it qualified for the 8%. Now I look at the same item and it's at $701, in the bullion category and out of stock. So 15 minutes after I bought it they switched back to bullion category, raised the price $30 and sold out apparently. Seems like I got a deal but we'll see if it gets reversed as an "out of stock sorry" type thing if they made a mistake when I happened to buy.

During the month eBay Bucks are issued, I'm not picky whether it's 6, 8, or 10%. Just glad to get bucks while spending bucks. Today I got a random AU $20 Lib from Apmex. $30 over melt, cashed about $150 in eBay Bucks, and got $100 eBay Bucks on the deal.

I wonder about their algorithm. After getting the past several offers - and after spending more on eBay in the past six months than ever before - I didn't receive the current offer. ???

It seems a lot of people are posting they got the offer and they havent spent their bucks from last quarter yet. Is anyone getting the 8% after having already spent their bucks cert? I spent my bucks quickly, and did NOT get this most recent 8%

Spent about 20% of mine, no offer yet. However, last quarter was the first time I ever received an offer and received three of them. Finally took advantage of the 15% deal.

I spent all of mine on both accounts and got offers on both accounts.

It's a waste of time speculating as to how the eBay algorithm works.

In fact, the offers I got were different. On one account it is 8% on buying and selling. On the other account it is just 8% on buying.

I only get the selling one on the account I rarely use to sell anything. But last time, I managed to sell about $1300 in bullion on their in one night to get some eBay bucks. Might have to try the same thing this time. That's a real win-win. Sell some widgets, get cash AND get eBay bucks!

do the selling bonus ebay bucks show up on your account once the item is delivered?

sold a few things yesterday and noticed they didn't show up on the ebay bucks page and wasn't sure how that worked or if I did something wrong (never sold during a sellers bonus promotion)

that's only for the purchases, for sales you made under the bonus period it doesn't show up anywhere (that I see) and coinpalice mentioned they don't appear til the end of the quarter.

No, they don't show up until the end of the period, judging by what happened to me in the 1st quarter. Bit of a nuisance as I constantly had to remind myself that I had $100 in Bucks coming later so I didn't overspend my eBay bucks.
