Some Rattler Walkers (update raw toned obv. SLQ)

Haha all sorts of fun with these newps.
Brings new meaning to the term "walker"...
I was 10 miles out on my bike to the post office. Blew a tire. Had to walk the rest of the way there and all the way back.
Makes me wonder how many people remember walking to the post office as the norm. I do, but not as far, or with a heavy bike lol.
I was happy to win 2 of the 8.. some took off too far, someone really really wanted two of them, was hoping to get 1939 to 1947 but oh well.
As common dates go, they're pretty nice coins, and I hope there's enough room to make a little money.
((Working on slab photos and now rattler photos, bear with me.))
Totally worth the walk.

Very nice Walkers..... Cheers, RickO
Yay @ricko, lol, I was gonna put "@ricko approved", but one of them is actually a little rosy-ish, which is lost in the picture as well as the rest of the luster.
I'll love having them for the small amount of time I do own them, just wish I was in a position to have bought and kept the whole 39-47.
...my fatal flaw is I want to keep too many of the coins I buy.
Stickers on the back indicate coins were sold on Teletrade at some point.
Look very nice for the grade.
@Azurescens.... I DO keep all the coins I buy/acquire....Just the way I like it. Cheers, RickO
The Luster is full and booming. Nice Rattlers, too. Hold on to those puppies.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

Nice!
Point of Parlimentary Procedure. Don’t screw around they’re serious this time. Relax I’m pre-law. I thought you were pre-med. Whats the difference?
I thought NEWP meant newly encapsulated within plastic, correct?
I thought it meant "new piece".
Hmm I guess it means new purchase.

I just love those old rattlers. Especially with coins like those in them. Nice purchase.
Cool !!!
They look undergraded by today's standards.
Thanks! They indeed are! These are bad pictures in that they're glamour shots and poor shots at the same time. There's some rub on high points but the lack of chatter really makes up for it. If they had a shot at 67 I'd crack and cross, but they're definitely not today's MS63's.
I'm gonna keep them if I can get sales today to recoup what I paid (x2.5). They're very perfect for the year. I've had a lot of 1943 and 44 unc walkers go through my hands and these are very incredibly pretty to the ones I've seen.
I know everyone always says it, but they truly are much better in hand. Luster makes it very difficult to photograph.
I've always wanted a nice SLQ. I can never find the right ones or they're very problematic, even for a guy who can appreciate P01 coins, holed coins, anything.. and the rest are dipped bone dry, some old silver that never takes an old silver look, or the lustrous nicely struck pieces beyond my wallet..
I've never collected the series, not really studied them much. I've been doing some reading maybe 2 hours worth. Long way to go yet!
@ad4400 helped me find my first "that's the one I want" standing liberty quarter and is on its way here. It's found a nice home. I can't wait to play around with lighting and my Tominon lense @jtlee321 suggested for my coin viewing issues.
Which BTW I highly recommend this lense as a loupe. Super easy at any distance to adjust, and if the coin has reflective surfaces near an error or device whichever and adjust the aperture as to not blind you.
