What surface/material do you use on your "coin area"?

Hello all, hope everyone is doing well! Got those taxes in right?!
I'm building a new area as my "coin station". A dedicated area for me to sort thru my coins. What surface/material do you use for yours? Anyone know what PCGS or NGC use in house? All suggestions welcome!!
I will be opening some proof rolls on this surface, so I want it right. Thank you for your time. Have a good day!

Here is a little more info. I could not find where I bought my trays many years ago. They came as a package - one tray and one velvet pad. I cover the coins with velvet when I'm not working on them - velvet is easy enough to get at local fabric stores.
These are from Coin Supply Express - there are other suppliers out there.
I like the trays because you can stack them if you are careful. Effectively enlarges your work area and the sides of the tray help keep things contained.“In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock." - Thomas Jefferson

I went to an ACE hardware that still cuts glass and got a piece cut to fit for my CS-1070 copy stand baseboard.
It's easy to keep dust free.
I put coins on a velvet pad and shoot images on a piece of paper."Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working" Pablo Picasso

Nice soft piece of marble works for me..........................I probably should change it but dropping a coin from a foot usually does no harm. I know that carpet with a really short nap would be great.

Thank you @Insider2 @Cameonut and @AUandAG for your answers. You use marble only? You don't use any kind of soft material? Do you notice any surface issues after sorting thru coins on marble only?
I'm cheap & from the old school..... empty desk top covered with a clean old t-shirt.
That will work, as long as it is soft your good.....
Hoard the keys.
I use an old t-shirt too !!!

Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!
I use a bunch of the soft foam inserts they put in the bulk boxes of airtites.
I have soft mats I use for firearm disassembly and work...I use one of those when handling coins of value. Cheers, RickO
Aren't you worried about getting nitro solvent on your coins?

@Walkerfan.... No... I use a clean mat I keep separate for the coins.... They are great for surface protection and easy to pick up the coins when on the mat. Cheers, RickO
I've used these on my basement work-room and work-out area floors, but they seem like a nice idea for the coin table, too. We have a Costco nearby, so I'll be looking this weekend. I can always find a place to put the extra tiles.
