My latest completion: 1795 mint set

https://www.pcgs.com/SetRegistry/u-s-coins/mint-sets/1795-mint-set/album/164047
This is another mint set I've been able to complete while working on a type set. This one is small enough and reasonable enough to make it a reality for me. No gold, however. All of the 1795 gold issues are real "beasts", especially the $5 large eagle reverse. I doubt I'll ever be able to acquire such a coin.
Next up: 1835 mint set.

What an amazing accomplishment, and the grades are notthing to sneeze at either. Great looking set. Thanks for sharing.
Later, Paul.
Nice job!
You doing birth year sets?
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
Awesome. Sweet coins!
Smitten with DBLCs.
Nice set, congrats.
Great year set - thanks for sharing.
I'm feeling pretty old these days, but not that old!
That is really nice.
Congrats
Very nice, coingrats!
Gawrsh!

I thought "Mint Sets" were supposed to be "Mint"
JK, great set, thanks for sharing!
Love that Half Dime!
Nice set! I especially like your 1795 half dollar - nice grade Overton 125. The half cent appears to be struck over a Talbot, Allum & Lee cent, so 7 coins for the price of 6. [See reverse between AMERICA and rim]

What fun! That's wonderful. Congratulations!

My Washington Quarter Registry set...in progress
Absolutely amazing!! Very inspiring. Congratulations on a great accomplishment. Gives me something to work towards some day.
I actually agree, but PCGS calls year sets "mint sets" without implying mint state. I wish I had a mint state version!
Very nice set but try to find one in original packaging with the mailing envelope.
You will be looking forever.
Thanks - the half dollar was a real stretch for me a few years ago when I bought it, but I really liked the way it looked. AFAIK you're correct about the half cent. Maybe these should be called numismatic palimpsests?
Congrats on the completion of this set.
All the pieces look really nice.

That is a very nice set. I completed a 1795 set with the gold some years ago. I displayed it at the Winter FUN show before I had the 1795 Draped Bust Dollar. I put a 1796 in there instead to illustrate the type. The Judges took off some point for that.
Oh well.
The 1793 and 1796 sets get more accolades because the 1793 was the first and the 1796 is only year in which it is possible to get all 10 denominations dated in the same year that were authorized by the Coinage Act of 1792.
I noted that you have the 1795 Dollar with the Bust that is off-center. I have looked for one of those off and on, but have never found the “right” one.
Very nice

If such a set were ever issued it would no doubt come with the gold coins, and therefore would have to come with a time machine as well - since the 1795 $5 large eagle wasn't made until ~1797!
Numismaticly speaking that pretty friggin Kool.
Thanks for your comments. A 1795 set with gold is a truly awe-inspring thing. The non-gold coins would be mere afterthoughts in such a set! I watched helplessly as a 1795 $5 large eagle crossed the block at the recent Stack's auction, but there is no way I can bid for coins like that right now. I'd love to go after a 1796 set, but to realistically do it I'd need to quadruple the size of my business. I will need to complete a 1793 set as part of my larger type set, but it will take time.
I got my 1795 off-center dollar at the recent Heritage Long Beach auction after seeing it in-hand in the viewing room. Certainly not anywhere near the finest example, but it has plenty of eye appeal for me.
SWEET ! ! !
1947-P & D; 1948-D; 1949-P & S; 1950-D & S; and 1952-S.
Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!
A very nice set, full of history.
Congratulations

Awesome set...unlike most sets, I think I actually like the reverse page the best (something about those scrawny eagles that's just cool).
very nice and very old coins. congrats on completing the set thanks rln
Very nice set with appealing looking coins
When one hears of a mint set it's not the year 1795 that comes to mind.
I like the scrawny eagles, too. Its interesting to compare the differences between the reverse on the Draped Bust vs Flowing Hair dollars.
Very beautiful set. Congratulations on the accomplishment!
nice matched set

Very impressive.
Nice set! Now you can expand it to a complete 1795 die marriage set.
