I set out this morning to get set to sell my collection.

Then I looked at the dang stuff and decided to let the heirs be pissed at me.
I mean who NEEDS a Chain Cent? I'd have to pay more to get what I have even though what I have is low grade (but STRAIGHT grade) and it fills one of my new criteria in being sorta a ....historically important ... coin and that's what I'm looking for now and don't know why other than to add a dimension of challenge and justification to pursuing more stuff to decide to get rid of but not really.
If this post makes any sense, post a coin that I'll want so bad that I'll begin pestering you to sell it to me.
Or PM for my addy and send me some soporifics.

What the heck is a Chain Cent, is that the coin in your avatar? If it is nobody will ever care about it, and if it is, it will only be worth melt.
Chain Cent, Schmain Cent...PFFT!
On Topstuf's calendar, April Fools runs a full 12 days.
Hey Raybo:
Fugio cents are sometimes colloquially referred to as chain cents. I would give almost anything to acquire one for my collection but as they are generally in the thousands of dollars and I am currently trying to fill a Roosevelt MS graded set that kind of cash outlay is out of my realm.
Topstuff send me your addy via PM and I'll send you that coin and a few sophomoric uuhh spotoforcik uuhhhh what you said above that won't bore you to sleep.

Uh no, a fugio is a fugio and a chain cent is a much more valuable large cent and is dated 1793.
Latin American Collection
Perhaps I'm mistaken, but when I think of a "chain cent", it's the 1793 Type 1 Flowing Hair. The Fugio cent is, well, the Fugio cent. It too has a chain.

Hey thanks for the clarification Boosibri. I stand corrected joyfully and extend my apologies for the misinformation, Now they are Way Way outside my realm.

HELLO, I was joking! I know what a Chain Cent is...........A Chain Cent is a medallion that you put on a chain that looks like topsuf's avatar.
I NEED a chain cent for my type set.... Wait, what was the question??
I'm currently trying to BREAK all the Chains that have bound me in the past. Since Coins are one of my past Chains , well I'm sort of trying to break that Chain also.
If someone were to OFFER me a Chain Cent right now? I don't know how I'd take that. Although truthfully, I'd rather be chained by an old Cent than some modern mint lump of over priced over glorified ugly design Gold nothingness .
I think my Tempus may have been Fugiting. I think I'm better now.
Would you take silver bullion in trade? I hear you've got a thing for silver!
I knew it would happen.
Relax... take a deep breath.... wait, light that thing first....OK... now take a deep breath (sometimes called a toke)... hold it... slowly let it out.... there now...getting mellow??
Cheers, RickO
