When it rains it pours. Sometimes I can go a year without adding a coin to my main focus.....toned Walkers. Then all of a sudden boom two in one week. Coins come out of nowhere. Business Strike Walkers with significant color are a real challenge so when one comes up you have to take notice. This coin replaces a coin I was super super found of.
Of special note the luster and texture of the reverse of this coin needs to seen to be truly appreciated.
This coin has some Easter spirit.... Happy Easter/Passover......mark

Love the pastels. Very appropriate!
Very impressive coin...congrats! Based on the description given to that coin, I'm guessing it's even more impressive in hand.

Sweet walker! If I could have just one that might be it.
Here's my example in an ogh not as colorful as yours but I like the luster and strike. 1944 was the coin that sold for Stupid Money in 68.

Really a jaw dropper, Mark. You're on a roll lately!
Impressive coin!

Setting aside the spectacular color, which is hard to do, the coin has a great branch hand with some separation between the forefinger and others, a very clean hip, nice head detail, and no major distractions in the fields. The sun looks like it has nice smoothness and great colors - especially in your more out of focus shot. The eagle's legs look fairly well detailed. A great technical coin with fantastic colors. Awesome & congratulations.
Pop Pop, fizz fizz. Oh what a great coin that IZ.
I just picked up this one, which has similar colors, but yours is incredible!

That is super awesome. I have seen a few other nicely toned 44 walkers, moreso than any other year I think.
Since everyone is showing off theirs too, here is my example. Rattler 65. Not quite on the same plane.
Mark, you have some nice coins. Says captain obvious. Congrats.
I agree that it can take long intervals of hunting to find monster toned Walkers. But in looking at the initial posting of Legend's May Regency Sale, they're selling Dale Larsen's personal collection of walkers- all of which are beautifully toned. So for the toned walker crowd, get ready.

@Ablinky I’m friends with Dale and we are both SoCal residents. Been lucky enough to do some show and tells and compare Walkers. We last got together last fall at his office. He has awesome coins and more importantly he is a first class great guy. I love him. However, I won’t miss competing with him trying to ferret out toned Walkers. Nobody will be rooting from him more then I will....well besides Dale. He has had coins is a couple Legend Auctions including a toned proof Walker that went did really really well.
Thanks again for all the kind comments and letting me share it with you.

Wow... MS67 1944 WLH.... super detail on that coin.... I know you are a tarnish fan, so I have no doubt you are happy with that one...Cheers, RickO
That is a simply beautiful piece!
I love the coin, especially the way the right obverse stands out.

Cracklin rose!~ Crack and cross! That beauty deserves a ms67 + insert.
A dreck is still a dreck no matter what the little sticker says. Looks details to me AT all day long. lol
The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.
Gorgeous example. Could get me interested in the series.
I love Walkers. Be careful, Gem Walkers can be addicting
So when are we going to see your MS set in the registry?
