Political correctness flies in the face of independent individuality and freedom of speech. There is no protection against being offended...it is a choice. For the most part (outside of blatant rudeness or attacks), it indicates a lack of maturity. Cheers, RickO
(Great picture accompanying the article, by the way.... they really took the time to READ the article & see they were talking about putting the women on the REVERSE before just slapping a woman's photo on an image of the quarter's OBVERSE to cover the Wchelsea Manning will be on one of these quarters.ashington portrait.........)
Great. More politically correct nonsense. I wonder if Chelsea Manning will be on one of these quarters.
Chelsea who? Chelsea Clinton? Chelsea Womming?
Give us Jessica Lynch! A real American hero.
Didn't Jessica sign a few slabs? Well, that's validation enough for me of her Hero Status.

Ugly white women (Not My Opinion, But stated here on this forum Thousands of times) like Susan B Anthony and Eurice Shiver on coins is no good.

Everyone is a beautiful unique snowflake and deserves to be #1 and have their face on a coin. And a puppy. And a free Snickers bar.
Make a nod towards aesthetics on something even though it’s not PC? Inconceivable!

The most collected coin is good ole Abe. Some think he was an ugly dude. Yet for girl coins, they have to be hot.
I know aesthetics as I am a professional artist. Look at the coin I created in 4 minutes or look at my photo website.

If you want a little beefcake on a coin you can just say it. It’s cool - I won’t judge. I agree Abe isn’t the most photogenic guy and he may not do it for you. How about a classically-inspired shirtless winged mercury? If we do that, can I get just one elegant depiction of lady liberty back? Like the walker or Gaudens? It’s almost getting to be where a guy can’t say they like to look at beautiful women without the pc police showing up with a “what about ugly women” citation.

I know I am in the minority but I like the SBA $ and SBA was a great subject for portrayal. The bigger issue as I see it is that few young people have any idea who she was.
I don't think it is quite the conspiracy some might believe it is. All of our current coins except the Sacagewea dollar show presidents and all presidents have been male. Many people would like to see a return to depictions of Liberty on all of our coins. If we ever did that I am confident we would see some variety in Liberty's appearance, and they would all be female.

Ok, I get it ... Beautiful white women like Lady liberty on coins is fantastic.

A black woman on a coin, of course not, Right?
I have a wife, a 21-year-old daughter and a young son. I would like them to see a woman's face on a quarter.
My guess is this is the type of coinage old thinking wants to see.
Who needs more quarters ? We can’t effectively budget a buck ?

A $3 coin.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Of course by that time, nobody will know what a quarter WAS.
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
