I bought this coin two years ago

but for a variety of reasons, I only received it about a month ago. Verdict: rather worth the wait. Not anything super exciting but a blast white Swiss gem at a reasonable price as far as I can remember.

Far away from my Swiss collecting days, I now only buy the occasional type coin, such as this "standing Helvetia" half below.
or an irresistible full red copper such as this 1917 rappen PCGS MS67RD.

Great looking coins... two years though!!! Yeah, I agree that it was probably worth the wait, but that is some slow shipping

My main focus though, still remains 1828-2000 Greek coins and banknotes. Another recent purchase, a Crete 1901 half drachma, one year type and rare as choice or above.
And below a recent addition to my (raw unc) Japanese Dansco type set album. Sometimes I have to crack them out of slabs to make sure I'm buying a decent coin.

And this was my b-day present to myself. Even though it's been Trueviewed, I thought that this image is perhaps better, if only in that it does not capture the really nice gold umessed with, color. Here are both images of the same coin. First picture nails the detail, second nails the color. None does well with its luster.

And this concludes my 3 year lack of posting. Unless you want me to show you my Cuban banknotes.

You are truly a patient collector...
A very nice looking group of coins ... and, yes, I'd like to see the Cuban banknotes!
I'd like to hear the story how the 1850 Swiss 1/2 Franc got to you after two years. Very nice assortment of coins by the way.

Absolutely gorgeous coins Dimitri! I'd love to hear the story of the 2 year delay.
All beauties!
well worth the wait... I would have given up.
I see streakes in the 1/2 frank coin.
are these caused by die polishing? I hope it was not caused by some type of cleaning
nice!

I'd also like to hear the story....
Many members on this forum that now it cannot fit in my signature. Please ask for entire list.
I want to hear the story in two years, just so we can all experience the same suspense and excitement.

Yeah, maybe reel it out a paragraph at a time every two months or so.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Must be an interesting story !!!
