Would this 1863 THREE CENT PIECE grade PO-01?

Since there’s no value on PCGS for PO-01 grade does that mean they haven’t ever graded a 1863 lowball?

Looks like 1853 to me....
try population report or Coinfacts to see how many graded
I see 1853 as well...small star on the obverse.

I agree with the above...looks like 1853...no idea if it grade..... I do not play in the super low end pool...I know many here do, just not my interest. Cheers, RickO
1853 and a PO -1.
1863 3cs didn't really circulate...a PO01 1863 would be very unusual.
After 1862, these little babies are very hard to find in grades other than proof or unc. (and sometimes proofs get sold as uncs.)
Agree with the 1853 determination. Looks PO-01 to me!

Definitely not an 1863, the date on the 1863 3c silver is much smaller than on the coin pictured.

It is definitely the Type I design. The thing that concerns me is authenticity. There were a lot of counterfeit trimes made, and when you get to this low level of detail, special care must be taken to assure authenticity.
No way it's an 1863, this is a Type 1 not a Type 3.
With the scratches it might just get Fair Details to be obnoxious. But I'd love to see what happens...

Thank you all so much. Very very helpful. I agree with all of the comments. So it seems nearly impossible to find a price on this if it grades PO-01. What do you think it will be valued at concidering I’d have the only 1853 PO-01.
Hey, I own a PCGS AG3 - CAC no less... I did the beauty shot of it yesterday, I'll have to did it up and post it here...

Spending money to have that graded would be a total waste. How many people are there who would actually pay more than the cost of the slabbing for a miserable looking coin like that. The whole Poor1 craze is just plain stupid.
Ty for your input
You got to watch out for P-1 damaged coins too, may not get a clean grade? Poor damaged, the ultimate insult.
