He would be a fun guy to have at a table. When I met him, his sister made him wear the good overalls. I am guessing your table had a lot of chatter.

Here are some more GSA's he would have liked:

    1880-CC GSA NGC 66PL VAM 6

    1883-CC NGC GSA 66PL

    1882-CC GSA NGC 67

    1884-CC NGC GSA 66*

    1884-CC NGC GSA 66

I don't currently own any of these, just sharing from a folder of high grade GSA's I keep.

I "met" Tim back around 2006 at this forum. It was fun talking about our favorite collectibles, GSAs, over the years.
I was thrilled for him when he bought Bryan Sonnier's (GSAGuy) 1864 Seated dollar packaged in the GSA soft pack. Back in 2011, that soft pack was the only known Seated Liberty dollar in a GSA soft pack (today, there are three Seated dollars known).

Although we never met live, I always knew there was a chicken farmer in Alabama that I could talk GSAs with.
Tim loved collecting and talking about his GSAs. He always liked his PL coins but the gem of his collection was his seated dollar.

    Here's his obit: https://www.resthavenokc.com/tributes/Timothy-McNally

    My condolences to his family.

Tim and I traded a lot of minor coins back about 7 or 8 years ago. He would pull toners from the 90% he was buying and trade the toners for other silver. He was great to deal with and really loved the hobby. RIP

I recall the post where he announced his diagnosis. Sorry to hear it got him. He leaves behind a legacy here, by the sounds of it. I never interacted with him but thought I'd post to help the thread get to 100 replies.

  • Never met Tim personally, but had many online conversations with him. I also bought a few coins from him. He had a real passion for GSA coins and was very knowledgeable in this specialized field. He still has a few GSA coin sets on the other Registry. I hope his family keeps his coin collection in his honor. I think he would like that. Goodbye, my friend, and perhaps we will meet again on the other side. Peace.
