Looks perfect for the grade. Nicely struck reverse. (Did you know that the mintmark is the same one used on the 1909-S V.D.B.?)

Nice pickup. Congrats on the NEWP!
Looks Great! Enjoy.
Nice hunk of gold. Common or not, I've never met a Saint I didn't like at least a little. This one.... a lot.
Great looking piece!!
Solid for the grade, neither high- nor low-end. And one of my favorites Saint issues overall for the mintmark and relative scarcity. Nice!
Kind regards,
George

Nice choice! Lance.
This excerpt might be of interest to the OP. Note that both date and monogram were freshly cut into the annual master die.
Very nice piece, that I agree with others looks solid for the grade. I love the $20 and it will probably always be one of my favorite coins.
Congrats on your new edition!!!

Very good info, Roger David Lange included this "shortage" in his dissertation about 1919-S Cents being found in Chicago.
I didn't know the severity of the problem till I read your Post.
Beautiful coin and solid for the grade.

@RogerB ......Thank you for the information....it's very interesting. ( In my file it goes. )
It looks to have very nice skin and few marks, can't argue with the grade! very nice, and thanks Roger for the historical footnote.
I bought a nice 1914 MS 63 because I think they are the most beautiful coin you can get.
The coin will get older but looking at a nice coin like you have won't.
I like it. Enjoy your new addition.
Looks like a well struck dbl eagle, but the picture is dark and hard to see. (At least on my device). As long as your happy with it is all that matters.
I love it. Congrats!
Beautiful Saint !
nice pick up. congrats
