This excerpt might be of interest to the OP. Note that both date and monogram were freshly cut into the annual master die.
Very nice piece, that I agree with others looks solid for the grade. I love the $20 and it will probably always be one of my favorite coins.

Very good info, Roger David Lange included this "shortage" in his dissertation about 1919-S Cents being found in Chicago.

I bought a nice 1914 MS 63 because I think they are the most beautiful coin you can get.
The coin will get older but looking at a nice coin like you have won't.

Looks like a well struck dbl eagle, but the picture is dark and hard to see. (At least on my device). As long as your happy with it is all that matters.
