Wilmington (DE) Coin Club Show

It's this week, Thursday through Saturday. Anybody else going? I'll be there Thursday from 10am-1pm probably. It's a very solid show (for me at least, in terms of buying) and usually pretty well attended for a smaller show.

I'm sure I posted this wooden show token before, from their club show 33 years ago. When I attended on Jan. 20, it wasn't too heavily travelled with buyers, as it was about 5 degrees and windy with blowing dry snow, just bitterly cold.
Please note that they made the date on the obverse as a 5/4 overdate.
Ahh Delaware, my old home state. Sometimes I mess it, but it has changed a lot since I moved just after graduating from the University of Delaware.
It would be fun to go to a Delaware show. There were very few of them in the area when I was young, but alas that would be major trip for me.
I'll be there on Thursday

Neat show token.... Please post show reports.... Will be interesting to compare the Delaware Club show to FUN... I know, two different venues entirely.... but I like smaller coin shows too and it will be interesting to see if the activity correlates at all... Cheers, RickO
I was thinking of going to maybe try to unload a few things. Can't do it on Thurs, possibly Fri though, we'll see.
Hope you have a good time and pick up some sweet deals. Keep in mind, this time I won't be there to spot a sweet deal for you, you'll have to do it yourself
I'll be there. Bring chopmarked coins!
...nothing like a young, ambitious, bare-hands-cherry-picker at the coin show during winter while the flu is running strong in them like an unstoppable rebel force...sharing is caring
Fade...where's the report? Have thought about running up in the morning.
So you're saying you chugged a Red Bull, just barely dodged a heart attack from doing that, then went out and infected every attendee at the show?
Oh...thanks for the report!!!
I'll do a show report after the last day (tomorrow) but today was a little slower then normal due to the rain. It rained crazy hard.
I even had water front property at my table due to the leaks.
According to the guys that run the building they just redid the roof so it had to be raining really hard for it to leak.
So far though on my end it was alot of key date stuff. Alot of barber coins being asked aboit especially keys and as always I sold alot of wheat and Indians head cents.
I'll give a better show report tomorrow
HAPPY COLLECTING
First time at the show, Just picked up some literature this time. Had fun talking to the dealers, but no coins for my set.
Thanks for your report and insight.
I took the drive down on Thursday also.

Like fade to black said busy on the floor. Just to many Morgans for me, I'm not looking for much, but was able to spend some time with a couple of dealer.
On the way back I did stop in Wilmington for a hot dog, at Deerhead Hot dog place. I had seen a write up that Deerhead had the best hot dogs in Delaware.
i will say it was a darn good Hot dog.
