NGC grades one and only 1893-cc in a hard pack at FUN

I had in my hands the one and only GSA 1893-cc. It graded XF40. Strange for a circulated coin to be in a hash pack. What a cool coin.

I believe that was only put in a hard pack for promotional purposes. Really cool to see it has surfaced and been graded.

That is one theory , but since all who were involved in the set up and distribution of these have passed away with their secrets

Go to NARA and read the entire set of GSA/Mint/Treasury files. There is much to be learned there.

When you open the box and see a circ coin, you get very confused. Then you look at the date and realize it is just special either way. I really though it would go 45, but 40 it is.

Very cool coin to have been able to see.
