Did the seller have to pay $7 to take it off their hands?

There is a list of several like this. We take these type of commems and melt them at the refinery to come out better than trying to ebay them

At least it's a truthful portrait..... I met Ms. Shriver several times when my brother was in Special Olympics. Very nice and deeply committed to helping the kids. She and her husband also hosted fund raisers for several charities at their Maryland estate. I was hired (as a high schooler) several times to make photos that were then provided to guests.

Probably sells better leading up to October 31st each year.....

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

I disagree. Age took it's toll on Eunice, but the coin is not flattering! She was not unattractive in her youth.

I recall I held a proof huge centered broadstike mint error of this dollar at a show once. I had to get hypnotized to forget about it afterward as it caused some major nightmares. As you can tell that didn't work too well as the power of prune skinned Eunice is strong ;)

Curious what the melt rate per year is for issues like these. Maybe in the tens or hundreds? Would still take many years of attrition for these to become scarce.

Google search her image, and NONE of them is REMOTELY as bad as this coin. EVERYONE in the chain of command that designed and approved this coin should have been terminated from the Mint.

What's not to love? It's a '95 from Westpoint, has all the usual mottos, even says SPECIAL !!! These coins are perfect...

    (for melting)

Ms Shriver and family approved the portrait on the coin. Maybe the model was better than the coin...?
