Here is one of my CWTs. This is probably one of my favorite raw tokens. This one is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is Fuld number WI 510AL-1a. It is a Rarity 5. Feel free to post any Civil War tokens of your own!

Very nice
Nice - like the eagle and the color on the advertising side.
I'll take up your offer to post a CWT. Here's one struck over a FE cent.
Nice CWT... I really like the Eagle on that.... Cheers, RickO
The dies for that token were cut by John Marr who is one of my favorite Civil War Token die makers. His designs and execution were first rate. Here is the "in house" token that he made to advertise his business. Marr made a lot of very attractive Civil War token designs.
The "stock die" here is called "the naked Amizon." It was based on the painting, "Liberty leading the people" by Eugène Delacroix.
@Lakesammman Thanks for sharing! That is an impressive overstrike. It is very rare as a Rarity 9.

@BillJones Thanks for the background information and history! I agree, his tokens were very well done and are usually well struck. I really like your example of his own token.

I really like CWT's and wish PCGS would have a set for these on the Registry,
Very nice looking @CWT1863 and looks like a bunch of luster still remaining on it too!
Tokens are the main reason I switched from the main stream collecting of coins and series.
You just don't find designs and rarities among standard coinage.

I've always been interested in CWT although I've not started a collection. Glad to see a post on the subject.

Here are a couple more John Marr created dies. I have close to a complete set of the "picture die" tokens that John Marr made during the Civil War period.

WI 510 AB-1a, Fredrick Miller beer. Yes, this was THE Fredrick Miller who founded the company that bears his name. The "Plank Road Brewry" appeared as the source of a spin-off brand, "Red Dog Beer," that the company marketed in the 1980s.
And here is Miller "good for token" that could have been redeemed for "1 glas" of beer. This is a rare peice with less than 10 examples known.
