1819 B-2 Bust Quarter G-T-C : NGC -> PCGS ~ GRADES POSTED

This is an 1819 Browning-2 bust quarter (Large 9) that is another one of my recent crosses from NGC to PCGS. It is somewhat attractively toned depending on your taste, and retains luster. This is the latest die state for the variety with die cracks S1 - S7, S10-S13, crack right of 1 to lower loop of 8, and on the reverse, cracked rim-U-wing. For fun can you guess the NGC and PCGS grades on this one?

I'll take a guess. NGC55 Pcgs 53

Very attractive coin. I would grade it in the AU50-53 range. Early type such as this can be tough with varying opinions. This one is a keeper unless the picture is misleading and does not capture the essence of the coin.
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
45 or 50 if it was my coin. 53 or 55 for everyone else
50N to P45
My thoughts too!
NGC AU57 to PCGS AU54?

N50/P50
I'll say 53/50
Early American Copper, Bust and Seated.
I would say N50-P45.....could go N55-P50....I think I see some remaining luster, but hard to say for sure. Cheers, RickO
N53 P50
Either way, that's a nice coin.
That looks exactly like my P45 CAC B2 in terms of wear. So I have to say 45 to 45 but if the luster is strong it could be 50. Stunning quarter!
Best, SH
Many close calls on this one. I tend to agree with the majority that this coin should grade low AU. The wear is minimal, particularly the eagle's feathers and talons. There is significant amounts of luster still present in the protected areas, along with the top half of the field on the reverse.
Cameonut2011 and spacehayduke had it with NGC XF45 to PCGS XF45. You would have thought that NGC would have at least gone AU50. Prior to the crossover, it was in a pre-prongs NGC holder. Thanks for the guesses and comments.

I would buy them all day, at a 45 price ,if they looked like that!
Very nice for a 45...
I had a similar Bust quarter grade the same, I was just happy to get a straight grade:
A bit surprised by the XF grade, given how much luster is on that coin.
That's a coin I'd love to buy in an XF slab at XF prices.
Mike, I don't think that's the OP's coin... I think the 1819 is 53 or 55... I'd be shocked, and all over it, at 45 for 45 $...

Are there any longish, thin scratches on the obverse, that are maybe worth a couple points each, and if they weren't there, this pretty coin would be an easy AU?

Baley, other than the toning streak, there may be a couple slight hairlines that aren't too noticeable. I'll post the Heritage photo's below, but they aren't as nice as the ones from PCGS in my first post. Not the most focused, but you'll get the idea, and the luster in the protected areas stand out more. The coin went for low AU $, not really XF $.
I agree with the grade from the Heritage pictures!
