I am proud to announce and launch Silicon Valley Rare Coins! As I retire from the Navy and begin my full time career in numismatics, I want to say thank you for the conversation, education, support and business over the past 15 years here on the PCGS message boards. Many of you have gone from forum acquaintances to numismatic colleagues and some to dear friends.

As I progress through life, the social aspects of our hobby become more and more important to me. And in many ways, this board was a connection catalyst for the relationships that form the foundation of our shared social network. Thank you to PCGS for facilitating that experience.

Please check out the new website. siliconvalleycoins.com
PMs are welcome if you have specific feedback. Critical feedback is especially appreciated.

EDITED TO ADD: If you are interested in getting on my mailing list, I will add if you send me your email. Will be about once every two weeks and it will include early announcements of NEWPS and blog releases. You can enter your information via the website, or send me an email at john@siliconvalleycoins.com or PM me.

Please consider partnering with SVC moving forward. Our hobby is amazing and full of adventure. I sincerely look forward to building and expanding relationships, old and new, while helping you grow and refine your collections.

Very respectfully,
John

Love the way the coin photo rotates when the mouse arrow hovers over it. Where are you based out of?

The thirteen selections on your site this date were all very top end coins. I hope to do business with you in the future.

Congratulations, John. You have a clean, attractive website.

It may be beneficial, as you grow, to attribute the die varieties (and die states) for coins that have a large or growing collector base (e.g., Bust coinage, Seated coinage). I my mind, it adds value to the website.

    Good luck!

    Congrats! :)

Your business name would have been so much easier to remember had you gone with Silicone Implants Rare Coins... Just saying, yet close enough ;) Still as a consumer when I hear Silicon Valley I think computers, whereas with my suggestion it would have instantly triggered Bust Coinage :D
