BEWARE of scammer using the seems legit looking Paypal page with the exact looking text including the color blue Paypal logo.

You would see what looks like a legit Paypal notification in your email; "ACTIVITY STATUS LIMIT" subject line then informing you that "Your Paypal account has been suspended". Sender then asks you to click on the link or complete your Credit Card informations.

The URL address is "pekinois-forever.com>

I hete these scammers. I don't know how the internet was ever allowed to develop with such lax security. There should be fast and effective methods to deal with these scammers.

I get that AT LEAST once per day. I also get faux notification that "Your Amazon package has shipped" at least TWICE per day.

As another poster already mentioned: always just go through the main portal and never use the links in ANY email and you'll be fine.

You can set your email preference so such emails go directly to your spam folder.

They do - usually. But some real emails also go to the spam folder, so you have to look at them anyway. Bit of a pain as I get hundreds of emails daily. Remember when life used to be simple...no cell phones so you weren't on 24 hour call...no email with hundreds of spam advertising because it is easier and cheaper. Sigh....

On the bright side, my mailbox is nearly empty since I don't get catalogs or junk mail anymore.

The problem is it is easy for them to set up a new server and account as fast as they shut down the original one.

Just like the scam callers......"This is Rachel from credit card services.....", "This is Apu from canadian pharmacy, you need drugs!", "Your car warranty has expired" etc.
You block their number and they simply change their number to get around the block. You curse, yell and threaten them, but they still keep calling back even though you never buy anything nor give them any information. They are phishing for that 1 sucker in a thousand to fulfill their scam.

Yup. It's the downside to the information age. It's just too easy to robocall or email. And statistics are on there side. Maybe only 1 in 10,000 people is a fish that can be hooked, but it's now easy to send 100 MILLION emails or make thousands of robocalls.

This phishing email has been around for years. I'm always amazed that people still fall for it.

For the phone calls I ask their name and what company they work for. Then I ask for their address and THEN they start to ask why I need this information. I tell them my time is $45/hr and I need to know where to send the bill. That's when they figure out they're being trolled and they either get extremely rude or they hang up. The ones who stay on the line to match wits is kinda funny. I've always wanted to click on one of those links mentioned in the op and give them some bogus info but I don't want to inadvertently put someone's number in and give them a head ache.

I block many emails every day... and get the same emails (title etc.) even later in the day.. they change email addresses all the time....Beginning to wonder if it is even worth the extra three clicks to block them. Cheers, RickO
