Post your Near-CAMs
Let's see those coins you thought would CAM but didn't. This may also give some guidance as to what PCGS graders see as cameo vs not-cameo.
I'll start with a nice 1965 SMS Cent. The contrast is there but I can understand being strict when it makes a $1k difference. The TV doesn't show the contrast quite as well as in-hand. I still think it has a shot at CAM.

Sometimes I wonder about the definition of a "CAM" is. This does not have a CAM.
This coin does have a CAM.
I can see a bit of a CAM on the obverse, but the reverse makes me scratch my head.
I know that Proofs from the 1936 - 42 era have to sing and dance to get a CAM. This 1939 dime is close. It seems like 1939 was a good year for near CAMs. Since I've been looking at these coins, it seems like there are a fair number of 1939 near CAM pieces.
This is a PR66.

That '52 Franklin sure looks CAM.....Might be worth a resubmit.... Cheers, RickO
I agree with @ricko I'd send that 52 Franklin back a couple times also.
Too numerous to show...here's my latest.

I think the cheek just misses and there is some stubborn haze on the obverse I didn't want to overly mess with.
