    That's great - a WWII warhorse still doing its duty in 2017.

    When I search a box of nickels I usually find one or two war nickels. In the last box I went through, I found two - in the same roll - 1943P and 1945P.

    This was a 43-P...I did check for the 43/2...no dice...but silver in the wild is nice!

    Finding those old war nickels is tough these days....I have some large containers of change that have never been searched...just piled up over the years (30+)... I know there must be a couple of old nickels there...maybe this winter. Cheers, RickO

    Here's some silver REALLY in the wild.

    Shadow on pic but the rock is real. It's in the Tonopah, NV mining museum.
